Martin out hospitality host was incredible. Vast knowledge of Ramey and the industry. Learned a lot and left with a new appreciation for the family, culture and their wines. Would recommend their wines without hesitation.

The tasting room certainly won’t wow anybody. However, if you want a personalized tasting (ours was one on one) of quality Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, go here. We’ll worth the cost of admission.

Making an appointment to sit down and taste at Ramey Wine Cellars was one of the best things we did this year, resulting in the highlight of all of our winery visits to Napa and Sonoma Counties. Alan Ramey took time out of his schedule to discuss the distinct vineyard terroir and wine-making techniques that result in award-winning wines for this small family-owned winery. (Recently a wine from Sidebar Cellars, a Ramey Wine Cellars project, was recognized among Wine Spectator Magazine's Top 100 wines of 2017.) After tasting (detailed printed notes provided during tasting--see pics) we ordered wines that were conveniently shipped to our home address. The wines we sampled were totally worth calling in advance to work out a tasting appointment, and the individualized attention and insights offered by Alan were above and beyond conventional tasting room experiences. Would love to do again--our only regret was not buying enough wines. Thank you!

Amazing winery and top-notch staff.
We visited in November, but did not book ahead. Paul Smith took time out of his day to give us a very thorough tasting tour. We were blown away not only by his boundless hospitality, but his knowledge as well.

Amazing tasting with Martin! This was one of the best wine tastings we've ever had. Not only are all of the wines ultra-premium, we also really enjoyed getting geeky with Martin and learning so much more about all that goes into each bottle. **Unlike so many formulaic tasting rooms, their approach to tastings is genuine and personal, so you need to make an appointment. It is a real wine tasting and not intended for casual drinkers who just want to get tipsy....Thank you, Martin and Ramey for an amazing visit!

Ramey makes some of the very best wines in the United States. Our tasting with Martin was terrific. It was informative and extensive.
We were exposed to some new red wines in there portfolio which were great and as a result placed an order for a mixed case. We will definitely be back next trip to Sonoma.

Some of the best wines we tasted on our trip trough California.
Both, the reds and the whites were stunning. We definitely recommend stopping here for a tasting. Best thing: we can buy these wines back home in Switzerland as well!
