I love seeing the carnivorous plants and the meadows, I have a feeling that the conservation corps are out here helping restore the landscape after the fires

My only peace in life is when I'm spending time in God's country. Although no snow in late December, 😡 I still take the Jeep out and explore, hike and sit beside a warm fire 🔥 when I get a chance.

I find beauty in everything I see, taste and feel, and even though I have not had my snow this year to snowshoe, 🎿 I'm grateful that I can still find my solitude beside a raging river with a campfire as I welcome the storm. Plumas National Forest is beautiful in her own way. It's not my Montana, but she's a good runner up. 🏔️🔥🍁🪵🏞️

Amazing!!! One of the most beautiful places to hike! This is a dog friendly trail. One of the most scenic trails I've taken. This is a very long hike if you do the entire loop (9 miles!). There are placards along your way to give some great educational value to your trip. Be aware that there are some areas that are very steep. This hike should not be taken lightly. I would recommend this hike only if you are fit. There is a great view of the dome rock along the way. There are so many plants and animals to be seen along the way. We spotted many plants and flowers that we could identify, as well as a whole lot of large reddish colored salamanders in the rivers. There are huge banana slugs on the path. There are many water falls and creeks that you pass on your way to the main attraction. At the end Feather Falls is absolutely breath taking!! Well worth all the exercise! We will be returning.

It's an amazing place to visit if you are new to the outdoors. The drive is filled with twists, and turns, but the scenery is gorgeous. There are many places to stop by and set up a day/night camp, to go fishing, swimming, hiking, and rock climbing. You can spend all day out here exploring.

Beautiful drive up the Feather River on our way to High Sierra Music festival. So many neat places to stop along the way. Great swimming holes with amazing views. Love the tunnels and the railroad tracks that follows Hwy 70.

Amazing, the scenery is beautiful, the air is clean, and you're far enough away from the light pollution to see almost every perceivable star. The lake/dam is a great waterfront where you can take your boat or go swimming, the water is really warm towards the end of August

One of my very favorite places to go when i need quiet time. So many beautiful places waiting to be discovered!! secret waterfalls, swimming holes and the hiking is amazing!!! there are so many different things to see and do. Sadly the CAMP fire has burned a lot of my favorite go to spots as well as the entire town of Paradise, Ca. The Feather River Canyon Scenic Byway runs through here and was also effected by the recent fires. So please, when visiting the area in the months to come, be aware of your impact on the fragile eco system and ENJOY!! Lol
