The shop owner is lovely, and has answered any of my questions on the stock with clear experience. She does not mind when I have to communicate by text rather than speech. Her new storefront is so much better too, much more light.

You will likely not find a better selection anywhere in Oakland. Cashmere twill? Cotton jacquard? Heavy linen? Sevenberry? Trims and buttons? She has it, and bless her for it.

Spend some time in here, and you will always find a gem.

Piedmont Fabrics has less square footage than some other local places, but it's well worth the visit for its excellently curated selection of fabrics. Lan (the owner) is super sweet, and I always enjoy popping in here.

Great selection of quality fabric: fashion, jersey, Liberty of London, Nani Iro, upholstery and quilting fabrics. They have a *few* patterns, some notions: great for ribbons, Velcro, buttons and strapping. The owner is awesome, she's very happy to offer advice and details about the fabric. She is usually wearing something lovely she has seen herself. The other staff are very knowledgable too. It's a great shop!

Cute and awesome little place with tonnes of buttons, threads, and fabric options. The two people running the place when I was there are the sweetest. Note that if you're buying a few items, bring the tube up to the register for them so they can calculate the price for you with more ease! The thread was great for fixing up my cats' torn up catbed and restuffing my IKEA shark, I couldn't be more happy with the quality and the colour selections. 🐱 They have a table where you bring up your chosen rolls of fabric and they will cut it for you, so be sure to know the length you need for your projects for when you go! I will definitely be back to get some fabric for trying my hand at my first curtains.
