Terrible Customer Service

Our experience with this moving company was incredibly disappointing due to their lack of professionalism and poor customer service.

Understaffed Moves Lead to Higher Costs:
The movers themselves admitted that the home office consistently understaffs moves. Our apartment was 1,200 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths—an average-sized move—but the team was severely understaffed. Midway through, I had to step in to help pack and unpack because they were falling behind the already adjusted schedule.

Misleading Practices About Supplies:
The movers requested additional boxes from the home office that were never delivered. They urged us to buy extra boxes ourselves, assuring us we would be refunded. However, we were not refunded, despite their promise.

Rude and Unhelpful Customer Service:
When we contacted Fabio in customer service to address the refund issue, his response was shockingly rude and unprofessional. While we understand that problems can arise during a move, the way a company handles those issues is what sets them apart. Unfortunately, this company failed miserably in that regard.

If you value reliability, transparency, and respectful service, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

The movers were fast and efficient. No damage to anything. They ended up coming in under budget and less than the time they estimated. This was my second time hiring them for moves within the Bay Area and I will definitely use them again if needed.

I would give 0 stars if possible. Zapt is a horror story that messed up my move badly. After I provided the correct estimated inventory multiple times and booking a moving service nearly 2 months in advance, they arrived on the day of the move with a small truck with a hole on top on a day that was overcast.

Moving is stressful as it is and Zapt made it worse. They offered a compromise after dropping the ball hard by underestimating the truck size. Their compromise was to either pay them to make two trips with their damaged truck (and pay them after hour rate) when it clearly wasn’t my fault OR to reschedule the move to the following week (my lease runs out 6 days before the move they suggested.
Their customer service was atrocious. When we understandable yelled at customer service after repeated attempts to get through to them, they had the gall to say we offended them.

I had to find a last minute mover and pay nearly double the price. I am seeking legal remedies against Zapt. Avoid this company like the plague.

We had a wonderful experience with Zapt Movers. Both men were friendly and professional; they arrived early and they worked so quickly!! We will need to hire movers again in about 3 months and I will definitely be calling Zapt. I would recommend Zapt to anyone who wants a smooth, headache-free moving experience. Love them!

Had a great experience with Zapt Moving (long distance move from SF to LA) - it was very easy to schedule, get a quote, very responsive. The guys arrived on time and were really helpful with everything, all things were nicely packed and delivered all in one day - couldn't recommend enough!!!

Pleasant service, but could use more transparency in the prices. I used Zapt Movers for a really simple move with 1 big bed and under 4 loose boxes which took under 2 hours but ended up costing $500 because of a hidden "back transportation" fee though they told me during the phone quotation there would not be hidden fees.

It was a quick, no hassle quote from them. Seemed reasonable. The crews arrived almost an hour late- so something that can be improved. However, they added 1 extra mover for free of cost to compensate for that late arrival.

The crews were fast, efficient and careful. We already had everything packed up so it took them only 2.45 hours to complete the move. They charge you for minimum 3 hrs.

They started the clock when the crews arrived at our home. And finished it after the last box was brought inside our new home. Very smooth, pleasant and fast experience.

2 of the crews weren’t wearing masks. During COVID19, I wish they had taken precautions and maintained cdc guidelines. Still, I would give them 5 stars because they tried to maintain 6 feet distance while talking to us.

I would recommend using their service.
