Took two deer in to be processed. Called ahead before taking them in. Lady on the phone was nice and easy to deal with. Ask about pricing ahead of time on what you want done. Turn around process is very fast.

We have used this place several times throughout the years with only minor complaints. But this year ended me ever returning. Mainly because I do a LOT of shopping and price comparison. We didn't ask the price of jerky. Ended up being 30.00 per lb. Hmmm... I could have ordered venison jerky online for 26.99 a pound. But that's THEM providing the meat!!! And delivery to my front door. My husband had skinned the deer out beforehand but we were still charged 90.00 for processing. I know the landfill only charges 40.00 a TON for waste disposal. Takes a LOT of deer hides and carcasses to make a ton.
Also I was expecting a bit of burger from scraps but was told there wasn't any. ? Strange because when we process a deer at home we take it to the bone and have plenty for a few pounds of burger.
I'm in business for myself as well. So I know all about expenses. I know all about fair pricing in end products and I know all about shafting ( which I've never had to do, nor will I). This was one time I think we got shafted.
Maybe better communication could have avoided it. Or a price list including EVERYTHING at drop off.
Including the weight at hanging. A good processor can just about then give you a estimate as to how much weight you have for processing.
So not complaining about the end product. If you have endless purse strings and not on a budget certainly take your venison here. But we can't afford it at the price we paid for no more meat than we received back. And did part of the work.

This was my first time having Walker's process a deer for me. I was very impressed by their service. I dropped my deer off Saturday morning and had it back Monday afternoon. I really appreciate that they vacuum seal and label all of the cuts for you. The pricing was very reasonable. Very friendly staff.

We love Walkers Meat Processing. We get exactly what we ask for. Coming from Florida to hunt on our property in VA, they are great at working with us and we appreciate them for taking our deer in, even when they are extremely busy.

Called this place asking about how dropping off a deer worked since I’ve never had one processed before. I usually always process the deer myself, but this time I wanted to try something different. I called and the guy on the phone told me “to process it myself because it sounded like I knew what I was doing.” He then proceeded to hang up the phone on me.

Called to ask about getting deer processed this year. I asked if they processed deer all I got was "Yes" in a rude voice then I asked how much it would cost and again in a rude voice I got "$95". After 2 rude and short answers I didn't want to talk to him anymore nor do I want to get deer processed there.

Took Bear meat over on Christmas Eve for my husband and his friend, was told my order would be around 3lbs of Jerky and a little burger which we wanted and was told it would be around $80 ($25 a dry lb and $15 for cutting it up) Our friends order would be about 1lb of Jerky and a lot of burger which is what he wanted and they said his would probably be cheaper than ours.
They told me they would call me around Thursday it should be done, Friday I called they said it was marinating which was fine no big deal I understand the holidays were all mixed in. Today rolls around (10 days later) I call to get an update on the Jerky. They seemed confused as to what I was calling about and they tell me give me a few hours I will have it ready for you to pick up.... (made me feel like something was not right). My husband calls they tell him it’s being dehydrated (They had both our orders and another mans order in together which was stated to us on the phone) we could come pick it up around 6ish.
We get there and they hand us 1lb of Jerky and about 5-6lbs of burger ($40) for my order we stated we didn’t think that was right (because we were told different at drop off) we were not rude about it at all, the guy got very rude and disrespectful to the point I had to take my son to the car and just leave my husband to try to figure it out. Our friends order came to $115 they had somehow screwed the orders up but couldn’t take the blame for their wrong and wanted to be rude and disrespectful to us.
We did pay for both orders and got it straight ourselves with our friend, the Jerky has good flavor but so tough you can barely chew it.
I am completely unhappy about our service!!!
On top of that as my husband was walking out he hears the Women in there ask the man how many pounds of that did you want to keep ummmm so I think a few people may be getting screwed somewhere.
They have had our service in the past and we have even recommended them to others but after this they have lost my respect and service!!!
