Kevin, the service manager, was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. I owned my own auto repair shop for 30 years. I heard of their solid reputation at Tokyo Automotive. So when I retired, it was great that they were nearby. The team was very friendly and gave me a complete estimate before I left the car with them. They called for my approval on needed extra work. The car runs great! I am very impressed! Plus ... no hand prints on the engine! Nice!

Had to get my brakes replaced and coming here was a really good decision. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and kind, and communication was very clear with pictures to back everything up that needed to be done. And Kevin up front did a great job explaining all of the billing stuff when it came time for it. I think I found my go to spot for any future work

Dear Tatsu and Tokyo Automotive repair shop,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience at your automotive repair shop regarding my vintage Toyota pickup truck. Unfortunately, my visit did not meet the expectations I had hoped for.

I initially brought my truck in for an AC repair, but rather than resolving the issue, the situation became significantly worse. After leaving your shop, I found myself needing a tow truck to transport my vehicle to another mechanic, as it was no longer in a drivable condition. Whoever worked on the truck broke plug sensors clips. They even didn't even bother to fill the gas tank backup it was empty.

Throughout the process, I felt uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. I was lectured about the possibility of getting a refund, which felt unprofessional. To complicate matters, my truck was driven to various locations without my consent in an attempt to fix the problem, raising concerns about the care and respect given to my vehicle. Your shop had multiple chances to resolve the issue, and my truck was in your possession for over a month.

The individual at the front desk was particularly frustrating to deal with; I can honestly say he is the biggest liar in the world. After the repairs, my engine developed a misfire, and when I brought it to your attention, it was denied altogether. This lack of accountability is concerning.

I don't recommend this shop if you have a vintage car. If you do decide to take it here, I strongly advise putting a tracker on your vehicle so you know where it is at all times. You will be told that your car is on-site when, in reality, it may be a couple of cities away, getting worked on at another shop without your consent.

Ultimately, the condition of my engine deteriorated, and the customer service I received left much to be desired. I felt disrespected, and it was disappointing to see a lack of accountability. My experience has led me to view your shop as dishonest.

I genuinely hope this feedback is helpful in improving the service at your shop. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns.
