I have been a member at The Wolves Den for the last 4 1/2 years. Tom and Allie have become my family along with Nala and Axel (resident pups🥰). It is a family atmosphere with two trainers that are more than dedicated to our health and our fitness they are always at our disposal as needed with advice, help, and nutrition. I have been a member of many gyms Including some big name gyms And what I find to be the best about The Wolves Den is that once you’re here, you’re family. Tom has taken the last four years of his time to help me figure out how to get my metabolism and my body working so that I can finally start to be healthy and look as healthy as I am on the inside. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and I wouldn’t be trained by anyone else. #wolvesdenforlife

This gym is a family, more than a fitness center. The people are very supportive whether your a gym rat, or a first timer. We all started somewhere, and the owners Tom n Allie, are highly capable of getting you to your goals, and supporting you along the way.

I went to this gym for about a month and a half. I took a break so I could work on some things at home.
I was recovering from an accident and I must say that Tom, one of two owners, he was very conscientious in selecting exercises that would be good for me. He is a hands-on trainer, working right with you when you need it.
It's easy to see why people like to go to his gym. He enjoys what he does and his good vibes just rub off on you.
I've noticed that it's a safe gym to go to as well. I see people of all ages.

Normally I don't do reviews but when you find something good you got to run with it!!
I've been a part of The Wolves Den for over 2 years now and switching to this gym was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made in terms of making it to the next level in my sport of powerlifting.
The owners Tom and Allie are always free to give advice and motivation to help you reach your personal goals!
It is also very therapeutic for my wife see how she loves animals! Yes that's right I said animals two dogs actually. Whats really strange is that those who come in they become part of their pack it's really cool to watch seeing them protect members knowing what time they come in and out of the gym is actually a amazing thing to see!
Anywho, The Wolves den is a great place to be!!

Come on and join the pack!!

For the most part, I normally do not take the time to write reviews. However, my experience at wolfs den gym has compelled me to do so. Yes, it will be a rather long review, because it’s in the details that matter. Therefore, I appreciate those who take the time to carefully read about my experience. Without further ado, here it goes.

A little bit of background about myself to paint this picture as colorful as I can. I have been in the fitness industry for 30 years. I joined my first gym at the age of 15 and I have never looked back. I have trained at some very reputable gyms in South Florida. Powerhouse gym, Gold’s gym, Worlds gym, and Club fit, just to name a few. In fact, I have not only been a member at these gyms, but also an employee. I have taught aerobic classes, spin classes, and have personal trained many people. Representing something bigger than myself was always a privilege. The gym has been my sanctuary, my solitude, my peace, my home away from home since I was a teenager. I expanded my passion for fitness by competing in fitness, figure, and physique for many years. I have always had a wonderful report with every gym owner I have worked for or been a member at. Until now… and feel free to google me (Jaime Shires) and my background because I can back up everything I have written here.

I have relocated to the Lake Placid area recently. And finding a new home was at the top on my priority list. I found Wolf’s den gym online, just by doing a basic search for gyms near me. I was excited to check this place out so I could grow as an athlete and evolve physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. However, I was informed before joining the gym, that i needed to be cautious about the gym owner, his wife, and their relationship with other gym members. It is not important to me to participate in the telephone game, and repeat what I had heard. It is important to me that I make my own decision about that based on empirical evidence. So, I joined the gym with very high expectations for myself and the environment the gym provided.

By my second workout, I learned very quickly that Wolf’s Den could not provide that.

During my second visit, I was met with a deeply unsettling situation. While I was mid-workout, I noticed the gym owner’s pets were roaming freely around the gym floor, including in the area where I was squatting and dead lifting. It was not just distracting but also unnerving for the safety of the animals. The presence of these animals, particularly in a place dedicated to fitness and health, felt inappropriate and unprofessional.

When I attempted to address my concerns with the gym owner, I was met with a dismissive and disrespectful attitude. Rather than addressing my valid concerns, he brushed them off with a flippant remark and continued to allow his pets to wander around, completely disregarding the potential liability for his pets and health concerns of the members. It was clear that the owner had little regard for the well-being of his clientele or the professional standards expected in a gym environment.

The owner’s dismissive behavior and the unhygienic conditions made my experience at Wolf’s Den not only disappointing but also frustrating. It became evident that the gym's focus was not on providing a positive and clean environment for its members but rather indulging in personal preferences that compromised the overall gym experience.

In conclusion, while Wolf’s Den might appeal to some, my experience was marred by unprofessionalism and a lack of respect for member concerns. For those who value a clean, respectful, and professionally managed gym environment, I would recommend seeking alternatives. This experience was disheartening, especially given my extensive background in the fitness industry and my high expectations for any gym I choose to support.

While visiting Lake Placid, i needed a good and easily accessible gym, during my short stay. Tom, more than obliged and met my needs. The gym offers all that i need as a heavy lifter to keep active while vacationing. He is a former West Palm Beacher, and moved his business from Lake Worth. A+++
