We spend the winter at our home in the Bahamas. Tyler took our large order to the plane and made sure all it was delivered correctly. The quality of the meat has been excellent. I would highly recommend The Meating Place West.

Ordered meat with specific size three weeks before I needed. They said no problem but to phone two days before I needed it. Did so and re-stated size required. They confirmed and I picked it up when they called, the night before I needed the order. Got home to find out it was all two and a half times bigger. Called them immediately and told them. They said bring it in the next day and they would correct. Got there to find out they were instructed not to cut the units to the right size( I also said I would take the whole order and freeze what I did not need) by the owner and he was out of town?
I had a dinner that evening and needed what I had ordered. They did nothing!
Spent gas and time to go back and forth, then went looking else where. Never again and certainly do not recommend

The food is great if you can actually get in to buy it. I work all day and twice now I’ve left early to get there before 5pm. I’ve gotten there at 4:50 and today at 4:53 just to buy some soup and to go meals but again it was locked and workers were inside but just ignored me. I’d like to give the place my money if I could.

Update: met with the owner Tyler today and he did way more than enough to take care of me and I’ll definitely continue my business there moving forward. The food is absolutely excellent and must try. Thanks again Tyler for addressing and making things right. Updating this to a 5 star now.

i'm sorry i didn't find this place sooner. What a gem. First of all the place is immaculate. Secondly the owner made me feel like I shopped there for years.
Most of all, their prepared meals are amazing. The chicken pot pie was incredible. The best i ever had bar none.
No more publix or fresh market prepared foods for me. This is my new home foe fresh prepared meals.
I can't wait to try the fresh seafood.
There's obviously s reason they have been in business for 30 years as of jan 2024.
This is the only place i will be getting my meat and fish.
Don't forget to pick up a lobster bisque also.

What can we say about this specialty butcher? Only fantastic things.

They helped us get through Covid-19 without skipping a nutrition beat. When Publix and other supermarkets were having huge problems securing a reliable supply of beef and chicken, this store had them for sale, each and every week.

The Meating Place has quality meats, seafood, prepared foods, and homemade soups. They carry Bell & Evans chicken which cannot be found in supermarkets. Their rotisserie chicken and cooked turkey breast make for delicious fuss-free meals.

When we want to change up the menu, they are able to bring in veal cutlets, baby back ribs, and some other meats with only a few days notice.

They are our reliable, go-to store for our annual Thanksgiving get together. Their sliced cooked turkey breast and cooked shrimp cocktail make entertaining a snap for us and a meal that our guests rave about.

Louis and Tyler know customer service and go above and beyond to make each visit a pleasant experience. Kudos to the entire team at The Meating Place! They are a real class act!

I got a short rib roast (4 ribs) and some short ribs ( 8). My total was like $470. high prices these days for beef.

Edited from owners response- The prime rib roast was a good cut and I don't really have any issues with that, everyone enjoyed it too. the short ribs were just very fatty and just didn't seem like 175$ for one crock port of short ribs was appropriate. I saw other local stores that sold at less than half of the price. Apologies for leaving such a negative review. I know this is an upstanding business that provides a quality butcher service but it just seemed like you guys are on the very high side for certain cuts, and I do understand everything is priced based on the market, for which beef is on the rise. Thank you for replying, didn't mean to leave such a hasty review but i was a little upset in the moment after paying

Absolutely AMAZING. My family was having a dinner party, and we reached out to get Prime

Among all of the reasons to love living in Boca is the Meating Place. The selection is fantastic, the help is very helpful and the food is excellent. I have been a customer forever and I appreciate the “old world” charm of this establishment. Thank you to the team and owner that makes this my go to place to feed my family and guests!
