Bad scanning and developing work and very pricey for low res scans. Three 35mm 36 shot color rolls for scan and developing was about $70. They also charge a few bucks for sending the scans by email, which is just greedy, bringing the total price to $76.

The scans were unusable the first time around. It was pretty obvious they just auto corrected all the frames. Horrible inconsistency with exposure and color temp shift from frame to frame. Some frames would be green, others yellow, and others magenta. Some frames would be underexposed and some would be normal even though the lighting and exposure settings in camera when shooting were consistent. Lots of the frames were cut off and not aligned properly when scanning.

I informed them of the issues, they rescanned the film, and sent it back to me. The second time around, most (not all) of the color temp and exposure inconsistencies were less pronounced, but they still were bad and a lot of fixing is needed.

A lot of wasted frames and wasted dollars. The good reviews of this place are from years back so there's clearly been a drop in quality and competency. I get the feeling that the bulk of their customer base are new film photographers who don't have any concept of standards. I can't recommend this place.

Just dropped off film here yesterday, and on their website it says 12:00 is the cutoff for same day, I dropped my film off at 11:00 am and they couldn’t do same day. No big deal, until the next day when I pick up my film and it’s $180 for develop and scan… seems a little crazy for 6 rolls of 35mm film when it’s nearly $100 cheaper or more elsewhere. Also the people that helped me weren’t very helpful in explaining the pricing to me. I’ve used TCR photo a few times and I’ve shopped at the camera shop, but not anymore.

Customer service is poor. They don’t listen, they roll their eyes. I asked about contrast added on the scanning process and went in circles for about 20 minutes and finally gave up. Then I got my scans and they just looked like an auto correct. If you’re a pro photographer you know you don’t use auto adjustments. They offered to rescan and that was fine. But then… I bring my film back in and I get eye rolls from the girl taking my film and she says well now we know you don’t want auto correction as though I didn’t try to explain it to the other person there for 20 minutes or more. I pick up my negatives today and I get another eye roll. Really bad customer service. And… Not great service. Low res scans that you’re paying a premium for. And if you want a good scan, you’re gonna pay $45 per good scan. There’s no point in getting film scanned here.

loved this place for a long time, been a customer for years so it’s unfortunate that is no longer the case. sometime this year i dropped off some negatives to be reprinted, realized after two months go by i never got a call about my prints being ready. called them up and they have no record of any order/negatives that i dropped off. it made me question if i had actually dropped them off or not. i have a specific memory of dropping my negatives off, exactly who helped me, and even the time i came in. i am positive i did. at the time of drop off they do not collect payment, and did not give me a receipt so there’s zero record of any transaction taking place. one person looked around one time for these negatives for about 5 minutes. desperately to find them i also emailed about the negatives, and never got any response, just seems careless. now some very important negatives from a very special day are lost forever (i do not have the original prints hence why i was getting them reprinted) its just incredibly sad. wish i never came here to get those reprints.

I had emailed prior to ask about their machine maintenance before ever bringing in some of my film. The answers I got were reassuring. I came in to develop a pretty important roll from a trip I took hoping to get the absolute highest quality scans possible. When I came to this lab I asked if they could scan to a higher res and format that would get me the best color and sharpness. This lady that worked in chimed In from across the counter and said “we offer an uncompressed jpeg” with a bit of an attitude right off the bat. I wasn’t even speaking to her. I asked if there was a more lossless format like a tiff they could scan to because jpeg no matter how you put it, is a compressed image format. She argued with me that it was uncompressed. Then said “let me go get my manager” even without me asking. It was an incredibly weird interaction and pretty unprofessional. Manager came out and told me that they can scan to a jpeg. Now I know even the old frontier scanners could scan to a tiff file. So I wasn’t sure what they were using but the original kid that was helping me asked what I wanted to do, I just said I think I’m going to take my roll elsewhere and went over to Wilson Camera.

I’ve been coming here for years and it pains me to say this place has gone downhill. The prices are no longer reasonable ($20 per roll to develop & print at least) and the female employee working the front counter with the curly brown hair and a nose ring(she doesn’t wear a name tag) is rude, unprofessional and treated me poorly for no reason. When I asked her about my options for photo printing she very sarcastically asked if I had been there before. Upon leaving I asked for a receipt (which she was annoyed by) and said I didn’t need it when she handed it to me. This place used to be top-notch and I’m not sure what has happened but they have lost my business.

TINA and JARRETT are 5-STAR ROCK STARS! They went above and beyond to help us get our photos for a funeral this week! I could not have asked for more personalized and caring service. It's so rare to feel like a valued customer these days...anywhere, and it was such a pleasure to receive this type of care. My order wasn't a huge order and they treated it like it was.

AND, they did an AMAZING JOB and turned it around at lightening speed!

I can't thank this team enough and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM for all your photo needs!

Staff is very helpful with my million questions about my film anytime I'm in. I usually have about a ~48-72 hour turn around depending on how much I'm bringing in/their work load. I'll continue to come in as long as the doors stay open.
