Amazing! I walked in with an e-bike I bought online that had a flat. The repair guy was helping another customer so I looked at the huge selection of high quality e-bikes in and outside the shop. I was surprised by how great the prices were for high quality brands. When it was my turn I let the repair guy know I was eventually interested in a new cargo bike but that I wanted the new tube and let him know some other issues I had noticed. He began to write up a repair quote as it was an hour away from closing and I mentioned that I needed the essential repairs immediately as I had to get to school in the morning. He immediately got straight to repair mode and went above and beyond to accommodate my request. He did the repair and let me know what was not urgent and also what was not needed at all. He told me that if I was using this as a hold over until I can buy the new bike he would just help me maintain it and keep it safe to ride without sinking a bunch of money into it.

I asked if I could ride one of the cargo bikes, and even though it was closing time he let me take a go around the parking lot.

This store has friendly and knowledgeable people who care about building long time relationship based business and aren’t concerned with making a quick buck.

In addition, he noticed that the person who sold the bike to me and fastened the front wheel to the frame using zip ties. I hadn’t even thought to look for that because it had not occurred to me that someone would sell a bike in that dangerous condition. He searched through his hardware, found the right fit and put it on with no additional charge.

Synaptic Cycles delivered platinum service, has great prices and is right there in the middle of Dana Point. This is my new place for everything bike related.

Excellent service and selection.
My son and I dropped in yesterday to check out some new bikes and we happened to also have my son’s mountain bike in the truck bed. We decided better to bring it inside the shop so that it couldn’t get swiped off the truck while we were browsing. Shaun and Austin were happy to help us and welcomed us inside with my son’s mountain bike. We briefly alluded to a horrific experience we had just had at another local bike shop that was supposed to fix my son’s mountain bike brakes. We had just picked it up after exceptionally long 3 weeks and it was in worse condition than we had dropped it off as the brakes still didn’t work and now the saddle dropper post was also not working.
Shaun offered to take a look and then put it up on the bike stand. 30 minutes later Shawn had fixed the brakes and the dropper saddle post. My son and I chatted with Shaun and Austin the whole time and had some great bike talk. Turns out, Shaun is a very skilled bike technician. They felt so badly about how we got burned by bad service at the other local bike shop that they didn’t even charge us for the repair. They wouldn’t accept a tip either.
These guys love bikes and obviously have a commitment to serving their customers. I was blown away by this shop…it’s clean and there is a wide selection of brands. Thanks fellas for being awesome, we in the bike community appreciate it.

I just bought my very first e-bike yesterday. I was anxious and hesitant to jump into the e-bike trend with little to no knowledge. My first shop visit I was filled with a list of questions having done some online research. The shop has several brands to choose from for considering rider wants, needs and prices. Shawn, the owner, was very knowledgeable, low pressure, and patient. I came the next day to ride a bike as to decide on my best fit. Again Shawn was very accommodating and helpful. I now have finally chosen the Aventon Abound for the price, safety features and ease of ridabilty. (As well as its looks )...I am a senior rider and I believe this bike fits seniors and beginners very well. The shop's beach vibe was very chill, clean, and attentive to its customers. Also I am happy to have a local shop for service needs. And when friends and family visit this shop offers rentals. Came here to purchase an ebike because of the positive reviews. Walked in a was immediately asked if I needed any help by a friendly guy. After a few minutes of looking I asked to test ride some and they were great
about testing each one out no pressure. Ended up purchasing a bike that was exactly what I was looking for.

My only small complaint is that I was there on a Saturday and the guy working there was understaffed for the amount of people coming in to look at bikes. I think at one point there were 10 people in the store and this guy is trying to check people out, answer questions, get waivers signed and bike rentals out. Get the man some help!

Extremely Outdated Mountain Bike Rentals

I rented two bikes from them. At the price they charge for daily rental I assumed they would have something more modern available but instead I got an embarrassingly old model of a Cannondale Scalpel that was the worst full suspension mountain bike I’ve ever ridden. To boot they didn’t set it up tubeless and both tires popped within the first hour I rode it. I then traded that back in for another old, small, outdated cross country bike. Neither of them had dropper posts and the second one I rented wasn’t properly filled with enough tubeless fluid so the tires kept deflating.

The first bike should be thrown into a dumpster not rented out for $115 a day!! They really need either dramatically lower their rental prices to reflect the quality of these bikes or upgrade their rental fleet. Highly disappointing.

Awesome service and friendly staff! Stopped by for an issue on my kids super 73 and Sean immediately fixed it and installed some much needed brake pads. These guys are great!

Just bought my first e-bike. Haven't bought any type of bike in 30 years. Shawn was amazing. So patient. Explained everything. Let us try them out and fully explained all the accessories - with no sales pressure. I'm so excited. This is the place to go!

Amazing bikes and client service. Shawn knows what he is doing, he gave me the perfect bike and adjusted it for my preferences. Did 95 k and 60k in two days without any issues.
We need more places like this!
