The north side location, near grocery and pharmacy, is more convenient if coming from Congress or so. It seems like a larger store with a better selection of tools, wire, rope, plumbing, etc. Between stock, employees, and customers, some of the isles can be close quarters. The guys on the floor are reasonably knowledgeable, and the cashiers usually get you checked out quickly.

Looking for grout and the only color we needed was a broken one. When we went to purchase we asked the cashier VL if it could be opened to make sure it wasn’t dried up. She said we could open it. Well of course part of it was dried up so we asked for a discount we were told blatantly no manager wasn’t. Would not have purchased item if we really didn’t need it. Will not go back. Have had other bad experiences also.

Stewart’s always knows their huge stock and employee walks you to item. You can order online or have them order in store. The people are exceptional. They have huge inventory of house painting items , house cleaning ,wildlife
Foods, nuts bolts, plumbing, chains and more. Stewart’s do it yourself is great place to shop.
