Good selection of the meat cuts I grew up with. Good deals on oxtails and pick 5 items.

The meat is excellent quality, shop is clean, and staff is friendly! I will be back. But I was confused about the prices of the produce. On the container of 7 heads of garlic it has a sticker that states $24 for 5, 5 of what though? 5 packs or 5 heads of garlic... so I asked the person at the container and they said it was only $1.25 each. Because it was in a sealed/wrapped container I was assuming she ment $1.25 for the whole pack. Very confusing. I didn't need all 7 heads of garlic and I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was $1.25 per head of a sealed package. Like can I open the package and take what I need? If not maybe the price should reflect the quantity of garlic in that pack.
All that being said I probably won't be buying produce here again and I don't recommend anyone else do either.

Excellent cuts of meat for what I needed and great service! I went to this market for the first time today and I was glad I finally did. I was assisted by three very helpful employees, one of which I believe was the current business owner.

I’m a bit of a small guy, so it caught them off guard when I asked for a whole beef ribeye cut into two inch thick steaks and three lbs of short ribs, but once they knew I meant business they were happy to get to cutting and packaged everything very nicely for me. I didn’t have any additional trimming to do when I got home, and the cuts were the perfect thickness. The meat was nice and clean, and very cold to survive the drive home.

I don’t like quoting prices I paid in reviews because things change over time, but I can say that I was very happy with the price of the meat I took home, all 15 lbs of it! Its also difficult for me to judge how fast they are at busier times of day, but I was in and out very quickly.

I see some of the years old reviews on here and I was a bit hesitant to come here, but my experience was awesome and I am happy to do more business with them in the future.

Anyone looking for a great butcher, I highly recommend Star’s. Let’s keep in mind that this is a place where people chop meat for a living. I don’t expect them to treat me like I’m at a nail salon or a Starbucks. I can say though that they were very personable and I am a satisfied customer!

Started going here recently and am very pleased with the cuts and the selection. They even offer alligator, quail, and rabbit. One of the butchers has taken time to talk to me every time I have been in.

The store does have a bit of an odor to it but it is a meat market, that's a little bit to be expected. If you know what you want and don't linger the smell shouldn't be overpowering.

Friendly staff and good prices. Will be going back many times!

The 5 for 25 deal is not too bad. But I bought two "new York strips" and that was the toughest steak I've ever ate in my life. Couldn't even finish it. That is food fraud. Was probably a top sirloin cut like a new York strip.

said it would be ready in 2 days and never contacted us. we went back on the day they said it would be ready, and left empty handed. next day, same story. after being 3 days past due, we stopped trying. not even good deals. just not worth the hassle
