1 owner, family feel kinda shop.

I brought my bike in for service, needed a derailleur tune and a cassette retightened.
Right off the back, just looking at my bike, he knew what was up, and gave me a real solid answer of how long it would take to fix.

Owner gave it to me straight, reasonable and fair price. He's the kind of guy who tells it like it is.

There's plenty of parking on Vanowen or Platt, and there's also a small little parking lot around the corner that is shared with the garden equipment store and the cleaners.

What I really like the best is that there's an open window to the service area. You can see exactly what's going on. That definitely boosted my confidence in choosing this place.

I came in here quite some 4 years ago to buy some hubs and wheels, and got a really good deal on those. So now that it was time for service, it was a no-brainer to choose this place again.

This is the Best Bike Shop! My Family has been coming here for 20 years. Walter really helped me out today. Happy to now introduce my Grandson Angelo who is turning 4 to the Wonderful world of Biking. I got his Christmas present today.

Came to this shop with the bike a bought online to put it together and tune it up. Walter told me it will take a week or 2, that they are very busy.
They called me in 4 days that the bike is ready. When I came to pick it up the seat was all damaged from the wire of the lock they use. When I asked him to give me discount Walter liyed to me that it came like that. Also light fell on the ground when I was riding bike home.
Horrible customer service and very bad job. Keep away from this store.

These guys worked it for me . Needed emergency service , they got me in right away and replaced new parts needed , while I waited . Fair price too.

I feel that I’ve been scammed by this store. I purchased a helmet for my son and I purchased the wrong size. I told the sales guy that I’m purchasing the helmet for my son he never mentioned that the items is Final sale they putting a small sign under the cashier. that all the sales are final and they don’t mention anything on the receipt, I came back to return the helmet and they refused to return it. They showed me the small sign under the cashier.
I feel that they doing it in purpose that people don’t see the sign and after trying to return items, they being refused

Decent selection of parts and the repair shop is helpful when the job is too much for diy;) Selection of bikes for sale is limited but that's likely to change once the demand for new bikes levels out!

This place used to be amazing, and the only reason that I over paid for my bike was the guarantee that my bike would have a lifetime of free tune-ups. Unfortunately the shop was sold to a new owner, but not a new face and they decided that it is no longer in their best interest to keep the customers happy so they scrapped that program.

Since they decided to change a lot of the policies they should also change the name so people don't mistake them for the amazing bike shop that used to hide on the corner of Platt and Vanowen. I would rather buy a product online at least if something is promised from a reputable retailer, they typically keep their word, also you would be able to find better pricing, and a place that doesn't change ownership like an infant changes diapers.

Please change the name of the shop and do not piggy back on what we think is the Spoke n Wheel that we bought our bikes form.

I gave the shop 3 Stars as the actual store is not bad, but it sucks for those of us that bought something with an understanding that tune-ups would be included, and the fact that the shop could change ownership again at anytime and everything would change again.

Google suggest that a 5 star rating is "loving it". I don't know how I can "love" a bicycle store, but Jody provide exceptional service, understand my needs as a customer, have sold me a couple of great bikes and a bunch of accessories at great price. In fact, as you read the various comments, you will find there are exceptional and horrible. The horrible reviews are for the owner, Mike, the old guy at the store, who does not know 2 cents of how to please and keep a customer.
