DJ Jimmy absolutely killed it at our wedding. He was SO helpful for months leading up to our event (he had even given me tips on the venue because I had never been there before). I was also looking for a DJ that would allow us to have a certain degree of control without having to provide a full playlist. He was totally amenable to our vision. I gave him specific versions of songs for some moments, instructions to loop at other moments, I gave him ‘vibe’ directions for cocktail hour, dinner and dancing and asked him to fill in the rest using my completely eclectic taste in music as a guide and he hit it out of the park. He also kept the energy up all night - I don’t think there was ever a moment that the dance floor wasn’t packed. He was so all in on our vision and so helpful and friendly through the night. Also got tons of compliments on the music all night. Cannot recommend Jimmy enough.

I will also say, if I had to make one change to the whole evening, it would have been to hire his wife for videography. I very much appreciate that they didn’t push that on me, but looking back now there are so many moments that I wish I’d had on video. You can’t remember all the toasts, all the moments and it would have been so valuable to have for the future. So ADVICE TO FUTURE BRIDES - hire DJ Jimmy, and his wife for video of your special day.

If you are getting married or having an event in Key West, FL, then you need to use Soundwave as your DJ! Jimmy made our ceremony and reception perfect! He took into account all of our personal preferences and suggestions throughout the planning process. Our reception was extremely fun and there were no dull moments. He kept the party and dancing going all night long! He is extremely professional, and kind, and anyone would be blessed to work with him! Cannot recommend his services enough!!!

Can’t begin to say how much we enjoyed our experience working with both Joanna and Jim. Our wedding day was this past November in key west and coming from Massachusetts and not traveling before to talk with vendors, DJ, photographers/videographers can be very scary. Jim and Joanna were very communicative with us and provided many details of exactly how the day was going to go. I would recommend their talent and creativity 1000x over!! And of course their stunning personalities! You can tell they love what they do and it shows. Joanna has a keen eye for what makes a video so special and Jim is the life of the party 😊

WOW! Where to even start, Jimmy was absolutely fantastic and blew all of our expectations out of the water. He had our guests of all ages at our intimate wedding up and moving. The BEST! Joanna did an incredible job with our wedding video. She captured all the special moments and I’m tearing up while watching it (over and over because it’s so good).
