This place blows me away! They always answer the phone and are always friendly.
Emily never makes you feel like you are just a number, taking her time to communicate and be honest. They also do their very best to be careful with your hard earned money by not marking up car parts. We have had some bad experiences with getting charged for new parts that were never actually installed at a different automotive repair here in town. I feel valued and safe knowing without a doubt Solo Performance would never do something like that!

My wife and I from Korea have been traveling around the world in our car for 2 years. Then we had a problem starting the car here in Fairbanks. So we came here. Fortunately, the problem never happened again, so we didn't have to do anything. But we remember the warm hospitality and care of the owner and his wife, and their dedicated efforts to solve the problem somehow. Thank you very much. Thanks to you, we have now passed Anchorage and come to Homer. We hope you, your wife and your children are always healthy and happy. Oh, the salmon you gave us was really, really delicious. We will never forget the special memories and warm care.

Brought our van in to be diagnosed for the issue. Even though it was after hours Pete looked at it and gave me an idea of what it will take to fix. I will leave a longer review after the repairs, but as one of the only places in Fairbanks open on Saturdays I am very happy with the customer service and knowledge so far.

About two weeks ago, when the temp dropped to below 40, my car went into limp mode and threw all the warning signs. Since I know absolutely nothing about the car, trying to find a repair shop on Saturday and calling pretty much all the shops listed on Google was not fun. Then I found this shop and Pete! He is by far the best mechanic ever! He took his time explaining potential issues and helped me troubleshoot on my own; when it failed, he kept his shop open after hours to make sure I could get the car towed to his shop. He genuinely cared about my concerns, unlike typical auto repair shops ( yes, I had multiple unsatisfying and overcharging experiences). He is beyond amazing at what he does and took great care of my car at an unexpectedly low price. Also, he expedited my repair request because I was moving back to warmer states. Several days later, he called to make sure my car was doing well; if anything happened down the road, he said he would offer to help!! Who does this!?! I am so grateful for his work and service. His shop deserves 100 stars!! Thankyou!!!!!

I don't have enough nice things to say about Pete, he has offered to pick my up truck 260 miles from Fairbanks after a wreck, he's installed moose lights for me, taken care of A/C in my wife's car, he makes sure to find the root of the issue and gets it fixed at a fair price and in a reasonable time. I will be using him for as long as we live here, he's trustworthy, reliable, smart and truly cares about the customer and doing the job right for a fair price.

We called a long list of Fairbanks mechanic shops to fix our broken leaf spring. They all said it would be 4days-3 weeks before they could get us in, and many shops required a costly inspection and/or parts shipped from outside of Fairbanks. We were on our way to hunt off of the haul road so these options were less than ideal.
Then we called Solo Performance and Fabrication and talked to the owner, Pete. Upon hearing our situation he said to come on by and he would get started right away. He let us park our camper there while he did the work, and was very efficient. He let us bring our own parts and disposed of the broken ones. He super reasonable with the pricing. I highly recommend Solo performance and Fabrication for their fine work, customer service, and great prices. Thanks, Pete!

We are traveling north from homer on a road trip with our family. . we needed work done on our truck. All the auto shops in Fairbanks were too busy to fit us in and required costly pre inspections before even starting work. But Solo made time in their busy schedule to fit us in and keep us moving on the same day we called. With their highly efficient work ethics and family run business these guys are where you need to take your vehicle for prompt and very efficient service. I would highly recommend solo and would use them again in the future.

Amazing service. He is a mechanic who truly cares about his reputation by getting the job done right. He is the kind of mechanic who will spend the time troubleshooting the problem and not just going with what the computer says to do. I wish I knew about this place sooner.
