No one loves to go to the dentist!!!! But Smile Design makes it as pleasant experience as possible....from when you walk in you are greeted and there was little wait time. Taken back and Sarah did an incredible job on now my pearly whites...thedentist was very plesant ...and I will be going back in 5 months , Just a well deserved atta-boy! Pegg Kraft

A few notes; I was not told that the cleaning would be on a different day from my appointment and this should have been explained when I made the initial appointment. I almost had to wait 3 months for a cleaning but I was able to get a canceled spot for the following week. Also, maybe give people a heads up that the exam rooms are freezing. That aside, the whole staff was super friendly, and Sarah who did my deep cleaning was PHENOMENAL. I normally need several local injections to get through a deep clean, but she was able to get it done with just a topical and it wasn't even uncomfortable, let alone painful. I will never let anyone but Sarah do a deep clean again!

I had a new patient exam on September 9, 2024. I decided to go there because my husband was going there at the time and they accept my United Healthcare insurance. He had always had a good experience in the past. The waiting room was packed and I waited almost 45 minutes for my appointment. A very pleasant assistant, Megan, took a panoramic X-ray along with a full series and bite wing X-rays. The dentist came in and did a quick look in my mouth, pointing out a couple of things I was already aware of and said everything else looks great. He was very pleasant, shook my hand, and said welcome to the practice. That’s when things turned very bad! The hygienist walked in, never introduced herself and proceeded to tell me that I have periodontal disease after the dentist just told me everything looked great. I must have had a surprised look because she said you do, you have periodontal disease!
She had not even looked inside my mouth at that point, so she assumed I had periodontal disease after looking at my X-rays because I have some bone loss. Her quick probing was a joke because at one point the probe was hitting the floor of my mouth. She was not at all pleasant! Being a hygienist myself, who has practiced for over 30 years, I was SHOCKED that she would make that assumption before even doing an exam of my mouth herself. I DO NOT have periodontal disease, never have! Then she made a comment to the assistant that they needed to get my previous records so I could be put on perio maintenance! WOW! There are several reasons you can have some bone loss other than having periodontal disease! Then, I couldn’t get in to have my teeth cleaned until the end of December. When I checked out, I did not expect to be charged anything, but was told my insurance did not cover both the full series X-rays and the panoramic! WHAT! They knew the insurance I had, never told me in advance, then charged for the additional X-rays. I would not recommend this office to anyone! Needless to say, my husband will be leaving this practice also!

Sensitive gums yet minimal discomfort during teeth cleaning. I'll be back again for future cleaning as required.
