I've been using Schorr Metals as my metal supplier for over 10 years. I started using Schorr back when I was a Production Manager and Operations Manager for a few different company's. Now I own a company and I'm still with Schorr and I don't go anywhere else. Schorr has everything you need in metal supply. If you need something out of the ordinary they will get it for you quickly. They also have metal cutting and bending services along with welding fabrication sort of like a one stop metal shop. They offer some ornamental iron items inside their purchasing office which also includes cutting and welding supplies. The employees are always helpful answering any questions you might have.
Stan the Operations Manager is always polite and helpful getting your metal project completed from sitting down and discussing the project with you to being there when it's time for you to pick it up. Shawn in Sales works really hard to find what I need and in a timely manner.
Schorr Metals is one of the reasons for my success because they always deliver. I will be with Schorr for years to come.

I am a homeowner that was doing a small project and needed a small piece of flat metal bar to complete that project. I went to Schorr Metals for the first time. I learned real quick from how busy it was, that this is where the pros go. I walked into the store area and was greeted quickly. The cashier guy was patient , listened to what I was looking for and quickly rang me up. For under $5 I got my metal and was on my way. Worked out great.

The lady that answer the phone was very short with me and was not very helpful or descriptive. I tried asking a few questions about weighing my RV. They will not be getting my business because of her.

Also why I'm here leaving a review I might as well continuing about the steel. The prices of steel there are pretty outlandish. The men at the counter are very nice and professional I do like them and that's about it.

This place has a culture that doesn't put the customer first. They don't take phone calls at the front desk. They waste your time and act like they are doing you a favor as you pay for something you can get elsewhere cheaper. Today I called to see if they still had a 7"x 7"x 1/2" remnant that I bought a foot of in mid December for a project. They charged me $50 for 12". So today I called to see if I could get another 12". The grumpy lady on the phone instructed me to come down and look around. I work 12 miles away. It would be a minimum of 1 hr. to find that perhaps they had nothing when they could find out in a couple of minutes if they had it. If you have a choice, which I do, I suggest going to Patton or someone who appreciates your business. I called Patton and bought 5' ft. of 6"x 8"x 1/2' with an additional cut for $182.00 over the phone. I now can will call it and not have to stand around wasting time as is the norm at Schorr.

They have the best prices of anyone. Customer service is just being nit picky. Mistakes are made by employees but it does not truly reflect the company . Have made multiple purchases of steel and aluminum. They are always willing to correct their mistakes. I have been truly satisfied with their prices all of the other companies charge at least 25% more for their materials this is a fact

I called Schorr Metals three times over one month period all three times they were polite and friendly. Today I went to Schorr Metals to buy some stainless rod for my metal art I went to the front desk the man helping me was friendly and knowledgeable about Schorr products. I went out to the yard to get my order filled it took about 7 minutes, when you're in a supply yard your wait always depends on who's in front of you and the size of their order, not one of Schorr's yard employees were standing around they were all helping customers.They got to me pulled my order loaded it in my truck made sure I had everything I needed to secure my load before leaving me. I'm a retired steamfitter after 35 years I've been to many supply houses I've seen it all Schorr Metals is deffenatly one of the best I will be buying all my metal from Schorr
