Sis and I ate at Schooni's this past weekend. Being vegan, I was really thankful to see the owner having vegan options for customers. We ordered the thin crust cauliflower pizza with garlic sauce, onions, spinach and mushrooms, it was very delicious and crispy. We also ordered a home made cinnamon roll and it was also incredible. Great customer service and atmosphere, looking forward to going back. A lot of different options on the menu, highly recommended!

On a local recommendation yesterday, it was great. Zack was our server, hawaiian pizza, wings, italian sub for 8 of us. Excellent. Jamie the owner is sweet. Worth a stop. Thanks.

I ordered a burger and fries fiancee ordered Cuban and fries. Drinks were very big which was nice. I noticed the table next to me get wings and they looked great. Our meal came quickly , it was hot. The burger was good. My fiancées Cuban was a bit skimpy on meats , pressed or not it was a bit skimpy. The take away was the pittance of fries we both received. I could have held both servings in one hand comfortably. Fries are the cheapest part of a lunchtime meal, for there to so few is disappointing.

At $36 in total for a lunch where it’s a sandwich and fries , then fries should not be skimped on and they were.

The food on other tables next to me looked great. There was a pizza that looked amazing and as I said some wings that looked awesome. My food tasted great too including what fries I had.

So this place gets a 3 ⭐️

Pizza was horrible. The sauce had a sour taste that was awful. The toppings were poor quality, more meant for a sandwich than a pizza.

I am not a person who is miserable or enjoys negativity.
I heard good things about your place, so I figured, why not try ya out... Well, if that was all fresh ingredients then your taste buds must be off. If you couldn't tell by the amount of food that was left that something was wrong then, oh well. I don't like to bring attention to negative things; I will just move along and go about my business. I've been to many other locally raved-about places across the country, and that's just It; locals Love your "quality food". It didn't meet my standards of, well, hell, I could have made a crappy pizza at home. If I wanted to, but I don't make crappy food. It's flavorful and makes you want to keep eating and enjoy that delicious meal I created.
So, in turn, I had hoped this place would be different. It was not.

I was really wanting some good pasta. Went there and the place only had one other couple. Not a good sign for the dinner hour. Ordered the ravioli which as hidden under copious amounts of what tasted like canned sauce. Pasta itself had clearly been cooked before and just reheated. Edges of the pasta was all hard. Salad wasn’t much of a salad. It wS mostly iceberg. I would NOT recommend this place.

The above was my wife’s meal I had the fish and chips absolutely terrible. The food atmosphere and staff all matched well , it was the kind of place I worried about whether it was safe to eat the food. If you are looking for a nice night out this is not the place

Would rate much higher if they actually stayed opened long enough to stay & eat in to try different items. Decent food for such a small town, but that doesn’t mean you have to close up at sundown. There’s plenty of business, groups willing to drop at least $50-$100/table that I’ve personally seen disappointed by your 7pm & only one night 8pm closes; it just makes living here have even less to look forward to; sucks to not even be able to get decent food past your family’s bedtime apparently. What was the point of ALL that renovation on Main Street Strip just to still roll up the streets whenever y’all feel like it? Is seriously disappointing, but guess I was expecting too much from this town to have a consistent place to eat that should be open to at least 8:30pm. I’ve personally heard your excuse that there’s just simply not enough business - what?! From one experienced in the biz professional to a carefree/careless other - TRY SOME BASIC PROMOS IN THE COMMUNITY TO GET THE BUSINESS TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN AT LEAST UNTIL 8:30/9PM, YOUR CASH COMING IN & YOU SERIOUSLY WOULD BE THE HOMETOWN HEROS! The school is right next to you - run a SCHOONI’S SCHOOL SPECIAL - Pizza w/a Parent or Coach the night of games - win or lose! You’d be overflowing PACKED & the kids would have a chaperone so they don’t get too crazy. OR MAYBE, just MAYBE YOU & THE OTHER BUSINESSES COULD ALL GET TOGETHER & PLAN “FUN & FOOD ON MAIN ST AFTER DARK” & BENEFIT THE ENTIRE STRIP SO Y’ALL COULD BE OPEN PAST A CHILD’S BEDTIME. All I keep hearing is how much the town is growing, but I’m back up here 10 years later & it’s the same, if not worse - at least there used to be a bowling alley for food & fun past sundown. IF you really cared to be open later, you could creatively come up with countless promos that would excite the ENTIRE COMMUNITY!! Nights like that alone would float you the rest of the week for those of us adults who’d like to enjoy at least a bottle or 2 of wine, a nice dinner, eat, relax and TIP WELL past 7pm. KEEP IT OPEN & THEY WILL COME!!

Cozy little hometown place with fresh produce and sauces. We were pleasantly surprised! $50 for 3 and we left stuffed. The owner seems very committed and makes all the sauces fresh. We will go back!

1st time eating here always looking for a great place to eat pizza. The pizza was great and wait time was not long but worth the wait. I would recommend coming to eat here if you are in Lake Placid.
