I have yet to make a purchase from your website but I am planning on it. So why am I writing to you already If you will note in the attached image, the words that are underlined in purple. I did this to point out to you and to other buyers that real, authentic Gumbo File is made from ONLY powdered Sassafras LEAVES, not the root! Unadulterated with thyme, oregano, parsley, cumin or anything else. There is no need to complicate a good simple thing.

My people go back at least 5 generations in Louisiana, in particular from Baton Rouge, and we KNOW "what am and what ain't" 'fee-lay'. Yes, there is a use for sassafras root but it is not for Gumbo. Please do me and all the other gumbo nitpickers you may run across in the future -- CHANGE YOUR PRODUCT DESCRIPTION.

Now let me get back to deciding what I want to buy
