I bought my Saleae (original) LOGIC a few years ago. Last it has been a great help in developing custom communication protocols and interfacing to existing protocols (e.g. CAN-bus) for customers.

The LOGIC has been simple to use, and the user interface displays serial data in many formats.

Price and customer service make Saleae tools an awesome addition to my toolbox!

I have used several logic analyzers and this has been the only one that is easy to use and that actually worked. The software is not buggy like most of the other products that has been tested. .. and the great part is that IT WORKS!

Best analyzer which I have used so far:
1. Portable
2. Plenty of channels - 16
3. Capability to configure each channel as analog, digital or both simultaneously is amazing
4. Inbuilt support of so many protocol analyzers and capability to develop your own analyzer via script is another add-on
5. Live view
In short - best analyzer !

I'm a very happy customer of Saleae.
Their hardware rocks, I'm still using an original logic, which is fully supported by the current software.
Not like so many other products which get junked after a few years.

For me the advantage is in the "Logic" software application. It's very intuitive and yet flexible.
The pluggable decoders are a life saver and have saved me many hours.

Support, these guy's are really the gold standard of support. I'm working in New Zealand and even with the time difference the support is always quick with the live chat. If the front end staff can't answer a question they will forward the request to one of the Saleae engineers.
