If I could give less than 1star I would! The water leaks are horrible in my neighborhood. They come out and mark the leaks with flags and don’t come back to repair the problems for months. Meanwhile the residents have to put up with wet soggy yards that makes it almost impossible to mow without sinking in mud up to your ankles. This has to be the absolute worst water utility that I’ve ever had in my life. It does absolutely no good to call and complain because you’ll get every excuse they can think of as to why it’s taking so long to repair. I would highly discourage anyone to move into the Russell County Water Authority service area!

Water pipes were worked on 1/2 mile from my home. They did not flush the pipes to get all the mud out of water lines, I have been running my washer and flushing my commode since 3:15 it’s now 5:14. It’s still dirty. I need a credit on my water bill. They are supposed to flush pipes. Doing it my self for hours runs my water bill way up.

We have lived here 5 years and paid our water bill on the 11th of every month. Now they have shut it off once for no payment, and threatened another shutoff if I don’t pay late fees. They are absolutely terrible, and don’t provide any solutions.

As the other reviews seem to be accurate. It's terrible that Russell County Water Authority continues to operate in such manner. From the rude unprofessional General Manger down to the staff, the way this business operates need to be investigated. As a customer of 12 years I feel that all we have been able to do is pay for water and horrible customer service, providing no remedies for concerns or complaints in regards to water issues. Whether it's being supplied brown to yellowish containmenated water or constant water line breaks due to poor installation that runs over 500 feet from the residence. There has been a lack of effort to correct the constant issues. I suppose that being rude to customers must be a part of the job training because all are definitely on one accord.

Almost missed my first bill because statement was late coming in mail and need that in order to pay online which is dumb. Website is not user friendly and hardly gives any information also charges lots of extra fees

So we have paid our water bill on time, every time it’s been due online . So on 26 JUL 2023 Russell County Water Authority decided to just shut off our water with no prior notice of doing this action. When we called they told me I hadn’t paid my bill and continued to give us the run around on the phone the entire day and kept telling us they had to call us back. They ended up shutting our water off due to their mistake by getting it confused with another address but would not admit to making this mistake. I was also told by one of there employees on the phone that they don’t give a notice prior to shutting water off and they just shut it off. I asked if we could be compensated for the troubles and I was told these mistakes happen all the time. They are absolutely horrible in customer service and is all about the $$$ I understand we are human and make mistakes but they made us feel horrible and was rude as all get out. I’d give them no stars as a rating if I could.

Horrible company. If you get 5 days behind they'll cut your water off on you. They won't wait a month.. I've never even been late on my water bill once! Go out a town it slipped my mind. Come back home to no water. Filed a report and complaint with the better business bureu. This company and its employees are a bunch of jokes!

Someone needs to have this place shut down. Or under new management. There quick to cut your water off for a a couple days late. But they wanna screw around when it's time to cut it back on. As the previous person suggested. Please report any issues you have with this company to the BBB. Let's get new management in here or the state of Alabama to investigate and fire half the people here that can't do there job right. Called back 4 hours later still no update and the So called office manager Antionete is extremely rude.
PLEASE FILE YOUR COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB! THEY TOLD ME IM THE 20TH PERSON IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS TO FILE.
