The Royal Theatre Halloween Haunted House was a great first experience for the group of 8th grade boys and girls this year. They were scared, but not to the point of being traumatized. Good job to all the actors!

This is another of Arkansas' diamonds in the rough, in both senses.
Yes, it is a well-worn theater, a little rough as it were. The seats are a little narrow for those of majestic size and yet surprisingly comfortable. The sound was sufficient for the size of the theater, which is small and cozy. It is not your Cinemark. Having said this much, the theater really is a treasure. It is very nostalgic, and if you go in remembering that it is vintage, you will be enchanted by the feel of it all.
The most important part of the theater is not the space in which it is held but rather the performers and performance itself. If that is all that this theater is judged on, then it decidedly deserves every star. This theater truly is a diamond when it comes to the performances. Rarely does it disappoint in that aspect, so please do not judge this diamond too harshly by the rough.
They could use your support and patronage. I need to add that most of the money they make is actually through concessions, so please donate to them by paying for a snack or putting some money in the donation jar. This theater is a legacy worth investing in for the future.

Great show today. I haven't been in there in years. Saw the first original star wars in 1977 in this theater. Was a joy to be back and watch the talent on stage.

Mostly in use as a performing arts venue, the Royal Theatre is owned by a non-profit called the Royal Players. They put on wonderful plays and musicals. I've enjoyed every visit. The theatre is located in historic downtown Benton and it has so much charm and history. I love it!

LOVED seeing the Bonnie and Clyde play! Can’t believe it wasn’t a total sell out. One of the best plays I’ve ever seen.
