My experience was very similar to what I read on other customer comments. I sent all information they asked for when ordering my pods. I included pictures and the even calculated the pod volume required to compensate for the weight I added to my boat.
When the new pods came they didn’t fit. Sheldon told me that he would build replacements and that they would ship out the next week. The following week they stopped answering the phone and emails are undeliverable.
I’m left with very expensive pods that are unusable! Beware of doing business with these people!

They are so knowledgeable and informative with all that they do. The reason they are as busy as they are is because they are the best at what they do. I bought a 9.5 HP river run with reverse from them. I put it on a brand new 1436. On their facebook they claimed a guy was getting somewhere around 20mph with the exact same setup. I put it on my boat and 16 minutes in I broke a belt, had to get pulled back to the ramp. Sheldon met me and took it back to fix it which was helpful. I could only get 13mph out of it, the reverse was not worth it. I had gear oil all over the motor from the gear box. I also heard loose hardware bouncing around somewhere in the belt/gear box. I was not happy with it and was told they were built per request so there was no way I could give it back and recoup anything. I had to sell my brand new boat, trailer, motor, lights, battery, and seats to get some money back which was less than what I had paid for just the motor. I left a review on their facebook and was reached out too. But I politely denied what they had to offer. I was then blocked from their page...do your research. I took a chance on a small local business, I should have bought from a more reputable company. Good luck.

I bought a 7 hp mud motor the clutch system was not working correctly. They had me try several things to try to get it running properly. It never did. They shipped me a new motor through fed-ex told me to ship the other motor back on same crate. I received a bill from fed-ex for $657 shipping. I have called river run several times about paying the shipping. Every time they promised to pay it. It has never been paid yet. That was 4 months ago. I would be very cautious about doing business with a company that doesn't keep its word!!

Extremely unhappy with the work ethics of River Run. Started in 7/2020 getting a 60hp surface drive, finally received it "done" in April 2022, has been in the water a total of 3 times and each time has broke down. The owner of River Run seems to avoid calls after seeking a refund. Very unethicality way of running a business.

Excellent workmanship! River Run repaired my boat tower which damaged when large branch fell on it in a storm. I thought for sure the tower would need to be replaced. But, they fixed it for a reasonable price and i could not be my pleased.
I recommend them for any welding or fabricating job.
