Great day out fishing. They put us on some Red Snapper and everyone got their limit. Best price in town for a walk on/head boat. Good help from the mates and the captain was great. My granddaughter caught her first deep sea fish and made me proud. Would go back.

I enjoyed Mrs. Susan and Jessica handling my booking.
That's about all I have to say good about Reel Suprise.
It was the worst fishing experience I have had in many years.
It's hard to fathom that I and the gentleman next to me were the only ones to not catch quality fish.
The Captain kept turning and moving the boat.
The ship hands displayed several irregularities seemingly towards me. For instance I requested my favorite spot and placed my fishing rod there, but one of the crewmen moved it.
It was a terrible experience.
By the way I am a black man, the only one on the boat.

What a great experience. Our small group had excellent service with Elizabeth guiding our fishing experience. Her love, passion, and knowledge for all things fishing overflowed. Clearly, she is well respected from her fellow fisherman. Especially when comparing our massive amount of fish to other guides’ catches. I highly recommend Reel Surprise. Elizabeth was great with the highly skilled and inclusive of the new to deep sea fisherman. Everyone felt comfortable. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to spend the day with Elizabeth!

The Deck hands were GREAT (Jack & Jeff), but unfortunately the captain seemed to have trouble navigating the boat. He’ed tell us to drop our lines and then he’ed move the boat causing our lines to either get caught in the prop or tangled with each other. Meaning 10-15 lines tangled at once multiple times leaving us with only about 20mins of fishing time all together. It was a 2hr trip out there. Once we stopped the first time the captain decided to move location adding an additional 25mins to our non fishing time. He kept blaming it on the current but you would hear him accelerate the engine and then all the lines would end up getting pushed behind us and then he would get mad because all the lines would be back towards the prop and we would have to reel them back up which is what we spent most of our time doing. We’ve been deep sea fishing several times before so I don’t mind not catching anything because of the weather, etc., but I do have a problem with not getting to fish due to lack of caring or inexperience. You know there’s an obvious problem when everyone including the kids are saying to just “stop moving the boat!”

Had a great time fishing with Reel Surprise. The Captain and deck hands were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had an absolute blast and caught plenty of fish on our six hour excursion. Highly recommend this place and we’ll be back again next Summer.

Our experience was just OK. The crew of 3 on deck were not always attentive when we had fish on the line and had to take them off ourselves. Ran out of bait and had to wait for a refill which lost fishing time. On our way out for the 6 hr trip, an interior window started to fall out of the slot. Didn't think it was a huge deal and would have appreciated if they just stored the glass somewhere safe, but instead they had to stop the boat and all 4 members of the crew took about 15 min to put it back in its place. I thought they would for sure compensate for the lost fishing time, but nope! We pulled back into dock a few min before the end time. I thought this was really rude. Lastly, we tipped the crew as we were getting off the boat a generous amount because we knew we had fish to clean. Come to find out, the fish cleaning is NOT part of the tip we gave and we had to pay even more just to have our fish cleaned. I thought this was a huge rip off and something that should be communicated. I never would have given the tip I did because I didn't think they earned it for what they did on the boat.

Highly competent crew. We had very rough seas, but the captain kept us fishing throughout. Moved several times when the fish stopped biting. Each time got us back on the fish. Deck hands were great keeping up with all the fish on. Keeping track of whose fish were whose. Not an easy task at all. Processed the fish after the trip. Made sure to tip them well, for their hard work. Would go back on their boat anytime.

Really lucky to have landed with this crew and boat. Very knowledgeable and good with both experienced fishermen and children. They not only got us repeatedly on fish but there were consistently bigger takes than other trips I've been on. If you're reading this, I highly suggest you stop searching for charters and give them a call. You will be extremely happy when you get back to the dock with your day's catch, and even more so, when you're eating those rewards.
