I have used a couple dozen dive companies over the years across the US, Mexico and Caribbean. Quiescence rates up at the top.
The staff: Doug, Luke and Captain Steve were on point. Great suggestions and guidance from Doug, and great personal service from Luke and Cpt Steve. Granted, dive conditions were perfect (but beyond their control :)) but they were key to us having a incredible 2 days diving.
Their Equipment: The rental equipment was the best I have ever had, by a large margin. Although we did not use it, their shop appeared to be very well equipped to support divers. Their boats only support 6 guests, but again, some of the best equipment we have been on. Perfect size, very comfortable open ocean ride, very clean and easy to dive from.

Had my reg serviced before a trip/DM. Came down and on the first dive I was taking in water with each breath. Walked in 15 minutes before closing and he pulled apart the reg, saw the seal had slipped out, inspected it for tears, tested it without issue. Then went on to educate me on a few internals of the reg and other manufacturers inspection and service procedures. 5-10 minutes saved my diving trip and education. I tried to pay for the service and he refused to accept payment, i ended up persuading him into accepting $20 for beer money. It has been years since i had a customer service experience this good! I am not an experienced diver and so you would think that I would be happy with about any dive shop. But I have worked with enough to believe that the individual attention and commitment to detail and safety cannot be found everywhere. The fine people at Quiescence delivered the highlight of our trip. They made our trip personalized and accommodated our needs unlike any shop I’ve ever visited.

They worked with us to accommodate a change in schedule due to weather, and they made the trip highly enjoyable for our small party. We never felt like another number and if you’ve ever been discouraged by diving with a large group, then you need to experience these guys. Captain Steve and Instructor Doug made us feel right at home and delivered a trip and experience of a lifetime.

Captain Steve is a real gem! As a new diver on my second boat dive completing my AOW certification dives, I was impressed with his commitment to making sure we had a great diving experience. The staff at the shop were awesome too. I look forward to diving again with Quiescence!

The only reason I gave 5 stars, is because I couldn't give 10!!! Amazing, friendly, helpful staff from the time we checked in until we got off the boat at the end of the day. I love the not crowded boats, and not rushed feeling. Captain was very knowledgeable about the sites and conditions. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a perfect day of diving.

These guys are amazing! the best at diagnosis and repair! They saved my bacon. I would recommend them to anyone needing repairs or scuba equipment and accessories.

It was the highlight of our spring break trip. My wife and 4 kids had never been snorkeling out on a boat in open water, so I was a little concerned about their anxiety level if we had gone out on a "cattle" boat. I was also concerned with cost. Once I calculated the difference in cost between the 2 options it wasn't even that much of a gap. And what a better experience we had! Not only did we have that 1 on 1 setting for any questions or coaching, but we had more time in the water, had input on what reefs we wanted to go to, etc. Captain Steve and Malena did an amazing job for us. I'm so glad we chose this option and look forward to the next time!
