They said they had a 2 7/8" 90 degree elbow,go to pick it up and they don't have it,sent me somewhere else and said they have it,got there and they have never had it,go back to order the parts and they said it will be in next week,called the following week and was told the order never got placed and they wouldn't give me a new ETA. If I could give 0 stars I would,I do not recommend them for anything.

Amazing shop with tons of equipment for fabrication. But there seems to be a disconnect between the guys in front and the guys in the shop. Quotes take days to get back, and fabricated items order don’t get properly conveyed to the shop guys. I’ve worked with many fab shops throughout California over the years and these guys seem pretty disorganized by comparison. I’m constantly frustrated by this.

Now let’s talk about their prices. They are by far the most expensive metal supplier in the area. I’m a welder and fabricator I know the prices are higher nowadays but I always get sticker shock when buying from PRW. I once had to drive to Sacramento to get the steel I needed because I was literally going to save thousands of dollars.

Laser cutting is also expensive. PRW had problems with my dxf file but a laser cutter in Fresno had no problems. I tried to work with them with the file but they couldn’t even tell me what was wrong with my file. When the shop guy called me all he said was “the circles are all messed up.” In the end, the laser cutter in Fresno was $40k cheaper than PRW. That’s too bad I really hoped for PRW to come through on that job.

I really want to give my local business my money but it doesn’t make sense sometimes. Even with gas prices at $6 dollars a gallon, I find that I’ll save a ton of money by going to Fresno or Sacramento and that’s disappointing.

I really hope the best for them because they are a good company and again they do have a lot of great equipment to get everything you need fabricated. However, For now I’ll only use them sparingly.

First time visit. The staff were very helpful. I was able to find the steel I needed relatively easy. I had a bit of confusion about getting some cuts, but that's just because I couldn't find the chop station. It all ended well. PRW Steel Supply is a good resource for this community.

Pirate Kustoms

Looks like they have a good selection of stuff. Only problem I had with the place was I asked them to cut a large piece of scrap sheet metal down and they told me they don't cut things. Have been doing metal work for over 30 years and I have never had a shop tell me they won't sheer a piece of sheet metal.

Call to get metal for my fabrication class and they were very helpful. I called a bunch of times because of my own stupidity but they were still patient and polite. Will for sure order more steel through them soon! Thanks
