Very organised and efficient with helpful staff. Taxi point is well advertised although it’s worth noting that Ubers have a separate and less obvious pick up point.

Easy to navigate and friendly people helping you get to where you need to be. The only person not nice was the officer who asked why we got there so early. Sorry sir don’t have anywhere else to go.

At the security checkpoint, the process appears ineffective. They ask for ID, request you to pop the trunk, inquire about weapons, and then allow you through without further checks. This stops each person briefly but doesn’t add meaningful security. It feels like an unnecessary use of resources, likely funded by port fees. I hope someone with authority can review this setup, and that more people express similar feedback. Improving efficiency here could ensure that time and resources are better allocated toward truly impactful security measures.

Only 4 ships in port today.
Vehicular traffic was less congested compared to when 7 or 8 ships are docking on the some day.
Lots of parking in the garage at terminal 2. The cost is 20 $ per day. Other than a short wait at the terminal before clearing security, embarking was fairly easy. We were having our lunch by 12:00 in the Amalfi restaurant on the beautiful Enchanted Princess.

A large busy port with several terminals. 5 cruise ships, including ours, departed at about the same time. Checkin was easy and fast, with easy access to the ship. We parked in the ramp garage adjacent to the ship. Our ship departed from one terminal and arrived back at a different terminal, but still within eady walking distance if our parked car. Parking was $20 a day inside a covered ramp garage.

A fairly short steep ramp walk off the emerald princess. Getting to a taxi is a hike though. They are plentiful. The porters are helpful. Facial recognition speeds CBP processing.

Returning from the cruise and going through immigration was quite speedy. The immediate port staff were very helpful - only drawback was our luggage retrieval - not sure if it was the cruise line’s fault or staff on ground who placed all luggage wherever! So everyone had such a difficult time retrieving luggage which was supposed to be at an assigned space. It was pure madness! Finally after all that, I left a piece of luggage outside the port- drove 3 hours home and discovered that it was left behind - and I was so pleased when a port staff found it, called me and held on to it for me - Yes, I drove back 3 hours - sigh! Kudos to him! A perfect Angel.
