We loved this resort and would definitely return. The pool is big and has plenty of seating. The view is amazing and the sunsets are spectacular. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The restaurants were average though. We chose to eat outside of the resort a few nights because there are some delicious restaurants close by with much better food. In comparison to the other resorts in the keys in this area, I would say they have room for improvement on their staff energy, happiness, and effort. We enjoyed the kids activities they offered. We were under the impression water sports were included in the resort fee but when we went paddle boarding we were charged for the activity. I am not sure I would choose for couples only getaway simply because there is no separate adult pool or swim up bar. It’s pretty loud with all the kiddos. Overall, we highly recommend!

Stunning views, great amenities, and an all-around great stay in the Keys! My only regret is that we couldn't stay any longer. We stayed in one of the villas which gave the family plenty of room to spread out, great kitchen, washing machine and incredible bathrooms. The pool was nice and there were hidden activities across the property in addition to the 4 restaurants. There was a nice walk out into the gulf and a small beach to relax in the sun.

This is a beautiful resort, in a beautiful location. It is not new, but the facilities are in good shape, a little bit of paradise in the keys.|Although we didn't receive any upgrade or other perks because of our platinum status with Marriott, (which we usually do) our room was the category we booked, well located and beautifully appointed, so very happy with it. |We had a great time, but if we come back, next time we will dine outside property for sure, here is why:|For such a pricey resort, you would expect top notch dining and service... but thats not what we found. I booked dinner at Sol by the sea at 9pm on a Friday night, (and they still showed room until 9 45pm) and we were punctual. Gunna the host was very attentive and kind and gave us a great table. Gloria, our waitress was also great. Unfortunately, we had to move tables because of bugs (understandable at that time at night, not a problem with that) but as soon as they brought our meals, they turned the music off, and the staff started to clean all around us, putting chairs up on top of tables, and closing down. We could even hear the briefing in the kitchen, it was like we were not there... we ate our first dish as quick as we could on this environment, and asked for a box for the second dish... this is not how we envisioned our romantic dinner. Gloria offered take the 2nd dish of the check, but we dindt want to get her into trouble, so we paid full price for a meal we dindt enjoy, and took it to our room. On our way to the room, you could see several meal leftovers around the pool, plates, glasses..etc, that we had seen there since 5 pm...|It just seems the resort lacks in service management.|The next day, i went to ask for a floating mat (which is supposed to be included on the resort fee) and a couple of 16-17 year old (dont remember their names, sorry) told me they were all beat up... i politely asked if they could check and maybe at least get one. They finally went and brought me one. I am not a demanding person, but again, for this level of resort hotel, you expect a different attitude. We had fun with the one mat though, :-).|For dinner we went to La Marea, and were excited about the bistec a la Fiorentina, which we have had before and its a gigantic piece of delicious meat. Unfortunately, very disappointing. The menu says it was 28 oz, but it could have not been more than 13 (which its enough for us) just not accurate. The meat had not flavor,|i cannot believe it was ribeye... also er ordered french fries with it, and they were def not fresh. They tasted like next day heated up in the microwave.|Not a deterrent for our overall experience, we went here for the paradise feeling, and you get that. But the quality of the food, and the mismanagement around... should definitely be addressed.

Our family of four with two small kids (ages 4 and 7) had a great stay at Playa Largo! The heated pool was beautiful, the breakfast buffet had plenty of healthy options for picky eaters and delicious lattes for the adults. Kadesha and Jacqueline at Las Olas went above and beyond to welcome and take care of us, and were wonderful with the kids. It made our mornings so relaxed to have them taking care of us. The other person who made our stay super special was Yoly Acosta. We stayed at both the main hotel and The Hammocks and even before we got to The Hammocks Yoly was helping my son get baited to fish and giving me tips on the best local places to visit with kids. While we were at The Hammocks her magical brand of hospitality let us relax and enjoy Island Time.

Dealers choice but this “resort” was very lackluster. Not only was the service questionable, the hospitality was subpar for the price of the stay. Our rooms were not ready at 4:00pm check in, and even as a lifetime platinum member, the front desk offered nothing other than a “sorry.” A bartender accidentally knocked a drink over on us and did not apologize, just cleaned it up and walked away. I requested non-feather pillows due to an allergy and it took them 9 hours to bring them to my room and multiple phone calls. It’s a lovely resort and the grounds are beautiful, but the hospitality is severely lacking.

The beach at Playa Largo is one of the best in the keys, especially with kids. If you’re lucky, you can have Ana at the Sandbar beach taking care of you while you sip on piña coladas and take in the tropical vibe. Ana went above and beyond, and even had valet drop off our bags in our room since the room wasn’t ready when we checked in. We also participated in complimentary wine tasting with Vivian which was such a treat! The staff can be hit or miss, but the hits truly make your stay magical. We’ve been here 5 times in the last few years and will keep coming back with our family!

Playa Largo Resort & Spa is a lovely property with a wonderful and attentive staff. Sadly the rooms could use a bit of TLC - the toilet was slow to refill, the shower didn't drain, both issues were addressed quickly by the staff once they were notified. Completely understand that the staff wouldn't know about these issues unless a guest shared this with them, but you hate being "that guest". Lastly, the furniture in the room (photo included) is really in sad shape. Not really what one expects at the Autograph Collection.

This is one of those hotels that thinks it is a resort. The lobby and grounds are pretty. However, nothing else about this place makes it worth the absolutely ridiculous price. There is a parking fee, ( BS, because how many people are taking the bus here? It is expected that you will have a car, so, let's jack the customer to park it) . There is a resort fee, (again, BS, because what hotel doesn't offer benches on which to sit and towels to use? You literally get nothing for this fee, it is exclusively a money grab). Food and drink are extremely overpriced, and there signs all over prohibiting guests from bringing their own snacks/drinks to the pool/sandy area. (NOT a beach, BTW) Do yourself a favor and go off the resort for lunch/dinner. There are many great options. The room had an AC/heating unit in the ceiling of the entry way. When it clicked on it sounded like metal clanking on metal. I just turned it off, it was the middle of the night when I noticed it. The pillows were so pliable they offered zero neck support, and, conversely the mattress was hard. Unfortunately, we had the noise family above us, and they rolled around a table that was inside the room that is equipped with wheels. That sounded fun above head. One positive was I did take advantage of the pedal bicycles offered for your use. (The only thing that was without fee). Finally, when you have come to terms with paying these nonsense fees, you find out that they then tax each fee separately. There are many options, as we discovered , for staying in Key Largo. Explore them.
