This is our first time staying at this location. We typically stay at different hotels on the coast line but chose this hotel for its location. It's amazing because it's right on the strip.
It's across from Splash and Brad's, and it has private free parking!!! It's quaint, cute and has the best staff. Debbie and Tammy have made us feel like family! They are so accommodating. We will definitely coming here in the future. My new favorite spot. Did I mention it has security There is also a free coffee and tea bar in their beautiful lobby, and it shares a space with a cute little coffee shop and eatery. It's literally 2 blocks to the pier!!

Had a good stay. Last time noise was a little much from the room above asked for the top floor and they were able to do that for us. The breeze way Cafe that's connected is a hidden gem too

Classic 1937 hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating but the place is really old and not much updated. The elevator is original and didn't always work from the 4th floor we were on and stairs are outside. The heater in the room went out twice and the electric space heaters they gave us caused power out in the room twice as well. The beds are very comfortable and the location is great. Nice piece of history but needs some updating.

I just stayed here and it was fabulous! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They explain everything important about the hotel as well as local spots during check in. You are literally in the middle of everything. You don’t need to worry about a parking stop because they give you one spot per room. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. I highly recommend staying here.

I am not sure how other reviewers have given this hotel anything but a 1 star rating. The location and clean bathroom are the only redeeming qualites for this place. Other than that, there is nothing "quaint or comfortable or homey" about this place. The BEDBUGS are a serious matter and require immediate attention! All guests should be warned before booking, that at EXACTLY 6:10 am, a street sweeper will make its rounds around the hotel and be clearly heard regardless of room location. Guests should be warned that the ceilings and walls are thin and ALL sounds will be heard throughout their room.

Positive: The lobby is gorgeous. The desk clerk was a wonderful young lady that was very helpful. The room was lovely and over looked Pomeroy St. with shops and restaurants all around. The hotel is one block from the beach. Negative: Nothing

I have visited Pismo Beach many times as an adult and a few times as a kid with my family. We have stayed at a few different places, some fancier, some not as fancy. We thought we would give PBH a try, despite the mixed reviews. As a business owner, clearly one can not please everyone. We were very pleasantly surprised. Tammy at the front desk was friendly, warm, and accommodating. I accidently reserved for wrong day and she did not make a fuss or make me feel bad. Luckily there was a room available. It was quiet, clean, had a bathtub, a view, and we would definitely come back again for the place itself, but Tammy was a big part of our experience. It was more affordable than the fancy places, the location was perfect walking distance to the sunset or the night life, and we did NOT hear any neighbors in any of the rooms or street below.
