The “Pinch A Penny” pool service we receive from your technician, “Tim,” is by far the finest pool service we have ever received in our many years of owning pools. In the few short months since he took over our account, our pool has transformed into a sparkling feature of our home. I’ve never had such thorough cleaning, and such close attention to the entire system - including the pump, heater and electronic controls.

Tim’s expertise, reliability and attention to detail gives Linda and I great confidence that the investment and joy that we get from our pool remains in good hands. Though we have been Pinch A Penny customers since buying our home, with the arrival of Tim, we look forward to many years of security and satisfaction at the highest standards we have ever seen.

My pool service man is Tim, he is the best!! Reliable and does an outstanding job of keeping my pool clean. This was not always the case, Steven, left a lot to be desired and quit unexpectedly and no service on my pool for 2 weeks. Then I got Tim! Thanks Tim for doing such an excellent job!!

We hired Pinch A Penny to service our pool this summer while we were away for five months. My credit card was charged $140.00 per month June 1 and each month following through November 1 for a total of $840. What did we receive for that service? Absolutely nothing.

According to the service technician Tim who arrived on Friday, November 1, that day was the first time he (or anyone from Pinch A Penny) had been able to physically access the pool area because the screen door had been locked for the entire five month period. Tim said he had no idea where the key was, even though, according to Gail Seavor, the store manager, instructions on how access the pool with the key were available to every technician assigned to our pool.

Throughout the summer our home watchers advised us that the pool was not being cleaned and it appeared that no one had been inside our locked pool area. I called Gail several times throughout the summer months and was told that “our policy is to vacuum the pool as needed.” Never once did she mention that no one was gaining access to the pool area to clean, rather she stated “if I don’t hear from the field technicians that there’s a problem I assume that everything is fine.”

Our home watchers sent a picture of the pool which had turned emerald green due to lack of maintenance by Pinch A Penny. I called Gail once again and was told that the technician who had been assigned to service our pool had turned in his resignation several weeks prior to this and that she would find another technician to attempt to clean up the pool. Tim, the new technician couldn't gain access but shocked the pool through the exterior pump equipment. However, no one physically cleaned the pool until November 1 when we were greeted by Tim whose first words were “Great! Your door is finally unlocked.” Tim told us that he was unable to access the lock on the screen door because he didn’t know where to find the key. He stated that he sent a weekly email but had no idea where it went.

We never received an email or phone call regarding the status of our pool throughout the entire summer. When I spoke to Gail after my return, I was told she didn’t have any email address for me. My question is, where were those weekly emails going with the report of the water sample and which chemicals were used each week, and why was I not notified by phone that no one could gain access to the pool to accomplish the task (actually, performing the job they were hired to do.)

After inquiring with Gail several times about how this matter might be solved and her excuse after excuse about how she needs more time, is so busy and only works part time, we will be filing a claim in small claims court seeking to have the $840 returned for Pinch A Penny’s failure to provide the service that they were hired to do.

I have been in this store 3 times. The service is always slow which may be because most people in the Villages are retired and they think there is nothing better to do. Well, wrong!! Not everyone is retired and there are plenty of better things to do. Today I went in on a Friday afternoon to return a couple items and was told I had to come back on Sunday when a manager is available as he could not do a return. What kind of customer service is that!! Ridiculous!!

I went in for a water sample and received in adequate and horrible service . I use pinch a penny in our other home and have never experienced this type of service . Called and talked to the manager Gail and he was useless his solution was to go back and bring him another sample with out a bottle because his new employee which was under trained asked me 5 times about my salt water System. I asked the two other people I had with me did you think that he knew what he was doing ? All agreed no. So we asked the other person that was there which was no help at all long haired gentlemen That told me to use the products and hopefully it would get better. $43 later and we’re still back to square one. The manager failed to understand that I will never go into that store again I drove from Bellevue which is a drive and I thought it had been worth the drive all the other times . Stay far far away worst customer service and experience ever. As you can see their printer is not even working correctly either But their managers totally content with the type of service he and employees renders.Never agin!

People were very nice and knowledgeable but under staffed. The pool hoses I was looking for were really overpriced, sales person said they'd check to see if in fact the asking price was correct 🤔 😳

Working as a Realtor sometimes you have to complete various tasks in order to close a sale. Recently I had a bank owned listing and the pool was in poor condition very green with a lot of tadpoles swimming around.
TO service my buyer I decided that i would clean up the pool for them. I spoke with several local Pool service companies and was quoted between $1500 and $2000 to clean up the pool.
In desperation I Stopped by Pinch a Penny in Lady Lake with a water sample and some photos. the Manager Gail was able to trouble shoot the pool and gave perfect advise on how to clean up this mess quickly and inexpensively. With in 4 days we turned the water from Green to Perfect blue Thank you Gail and Jacob for all of your help
