Unfortunately, I am unable to rate this company lower than one star. MITER Brands, the new owners of PGT, have demonstrated a significant lack of respect for their employees. Since acquiring PGT, they have consistently made empty promises of positive changes, assuring us that no significant modifications would occur within the first year of the takeover. However, they abruptly terminated an entire shift without any prior warning, citing the housing market as the reason.

The day before the termination, we were instructed to maximize our output under the pretense of preparing for machinery relocation. This turned out to be a misleading tactic designed to overwork the staff before dismissing them on a Sunday. This deceitful approach ensured that production would remain unaffected on the following Monday.

Furthermore, the manner in which this decision was communicated added to the distress and disappointment. The explanation provided, blaming the housing market, seemed like a convenient excuse rather than a valid reason. It felt like a strategic move to push the staff to their limits without regard for their well-being or job security.

The leadership at MITER Brands appeared to prioritize operational efficiency over their commitment to employee welfare. Promises of stability and positive change were evidently superficial, intended to placate employees while significant decisions were being planned behind closed doors. This lack of transparency and respect has eroded trust and morale within the workforce.

Given how MITER Brands treats its employees, it is reasonable to infer that customers might experience similar disregard and poor service. If a company cannot value and respect its workforce, it is unlikely they will uphold high standards of customer care and satisfaction.

In conclusion, the experience with MITER Brands has been overwhelmingly negative. The company's disregard for its employees' contributions and well-being, combined with their dishonest communication tactics, has created an environment of uncertainty and disillusionment. Such practices are not conducive to fostering a healthy and productive workplace, nor do they inspire confidence in their ability to treat customers with respect and integrity.

I would recommend ANY other window manufacturer than PGT!! We’ve been waiting on hurricane windows that should have been done over 6 months ago!! First the blame was for shut downs from Covid. Then it was for shortage due to Covid. Then it was we don’t know where a couple of our trailers with windows are. Then it was it will be shipped next week, that was in October 2021. Then it was being shipped in November 2021. Then it was beginning of December 2021. Then it was the end of December 2021. We heard our order was being hand walked though the assembly. Here we are going in to February and still nothing!! If you don’t know what you are doing then stop taking orders! This is the worst experience and the last time we will ever use PGT. Yes we used them in the past. Never again!!
