Prob the best Thai restaurant in the East Bay! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious—the short rib, Nua prawns and garlic noodles, and fried rice salad were all outstanding. If I were comparing it to top tier Thai spots in New York, it might not make the cut, but for the East Bay, it’s easily the best. Definitely worth a visit!

Really great Thai food with an upscale but casual vibe. We had the Sakoo (tapioca dumplings) and crispy rice ball salad to start, and our party agreed these were the highlight of the meal. But that’s not to say the standard of the mains wasn’t also excellent. For those we had crispy wonton pad Thai, basil eggplant and the sticky rice combo plate. All three were delicious, however I would probably get the standard pad Thai next time (this was my misunderstanding of the dish). This was a great spot for Sunday lunch with friends!

This actually deserves 6 stars. I think this has become my favorite Thai place in the Bay Area. By far, the best Thai appetizers I've ever had. The Sakoo and the Roti & Curry Dip were absolutely incredible. And the Summer Rolls are very likely the best I've had. Also, the chinese Jasmine Green Tea Lager was excellent. Finally, the service was fantastic too and so was the whole atmosphere with its thoughtful decoration/art. Must-go restaurant in the Bay for sure!

I eat a lot of Thai food in the bay. This was some of the best. Fresh, delicious, great atmosphere. They have the classics and some unique takes such as Tom Yom calamari and short rib noodle soup that was so good. Don’t miss this spot!

Lots of vegan friendly options - their Thai iced tea is vegan by default. And lots of great seafood and meat options too.

Perfect for a first date!! The food was SO DELICIOUS and good gluten free options! I personally loved the delicate flavor in the tapioca dumplings.

Great mix of modern and creative takes on Thai food with more of the classics you see. The duck larb is a favorite. Khao soi is also very generous serving, thicker and fragrant broth.

Welcoming service and beautiful and bright atmosphere. Excited to go back!

I enjoyed my time at Nua Thai Kitchen. It has a lively atmosphere without feeling overbearing, spacious seating and soothing decor.

Our designated service staff was kind, attentive and responsive—in addition to other service staff who “jumped in” when they were all busy.

The demand of their food was clear by the number of people already eating when I got there. The actual taste of the food was flavorful, fresh, and has quality produce—all with a homemade flair was absolutely delicious.

I had coconut soup (with chicken) and side of white rice. My date had deep fried pastry filled savory potatoes and vegetables sautéed in noodles. All of it was prepared in a manner that was thoughtful, care and investment in its remarkable taste!

My only complaint is that I didn’t have an empty enough stomach to taste more of the options on the menu.

The inside of this restaurant is gorgeous! Really, lots of light, plants, beautiful woodwork lamps and jungle wallpaper. The chef came by and chatted with our table about one of the dishes we ordered and it was great to hear her stories about Thai cuisine and all the regional differences. It made the visit special.
