A replacement windscreen for my Key West 1720 cost just under $500. Plastic Specialties did it for $350, and they increased the thickness from 1/4" to 3/8" and made it 4" taller! And, even better, they got it done in a matter of days! Thanks, Amber and Tomas!

My experience differs from the others, as the experience was a good one. In the year we live in where few people have specialty skills, such as this one, I believe we should not expect and feel entitled to the highest class of customer service and quick delivery that other corporate stores lead you to believe you deserve. Go back 20 years and you would be grateful if you ordered a part that was in stock on someone's shelf in a warehouse and it was at your front door a week to two later; while today we expect items to be delivered next day for free.

Also do not plan to have hand made items rushed and be upset with lead times. I have been doing projects and fabricating for years and understand that out of GOOD-CHEAP-FAST you can only choose two:
Good and Cheap - cant be fast
Fast and Good - can't be cheap
Cheap and Fast - can't be good

I had a windshield for my boat replaced by this shop. They quoted me on the phone the price, which I knew would differ slightly once they saw my old windshield in person. I was quoted a time frame on when to expect it ready, and like usual I take the lead time and I add a week or two on top of it before I start to ask questions; because even in my profession of machining, hiccups happen and lead times extend.

My windshield was ready for pick up close to a week after it was estimated, and I did not complain because I would've never been able to do this job at this quality by myself. And understanding quality takes time I was told that he did not want to replicate and drill holes in my windshield based off the old one; due to possible variations in his part he made. Instead of tackling the job myself, like I wanted to; I instead prolonged my project by taking my time to go home, mark the holes one day with a friend, then take it back to the shop and have him drill the holes for me. ( I didn't want to drill the holes myself just in case I cracked the windshield and he would not warranty it, because it would've been my fault not his )

I'm just saying in the end, this shop does not have Amazon Prime written on it. So expect to wait and expect to not have your butt kissed like every corporate business makes you feel entitled to today.

To say that this company presents a hostile experience is to put it mildly. I must admit that the workmanship here is excellent but customer relations and promised delivery dates are deplorable. I just canceled an order for a simple plastic cover that I have been waiting more than 8 weeks. Promises are meaningless and personal contact with the owner is, to say the least...frightening. I have been told that if I don't like it to take my business elsewhere and now I have. They are NOT the only game in town. I highly recommend that one stays away from this company.
