I needed a fabulous backdrop for an event and Mercedes suggested various ideas from their huge inventory of items. We agreed quickly to a theme and her team delivered and set up the backstage and it turned out wonderful. Of course you don't have my email mercedes first because when renting anyone uses the production info lol
Also I took my business to another more proper prop house where I don't get mistreated and my time / money is valued I guess y'all got used to mistreat people since u where the only game in town for a while but that's not longer the case I recommend any prop house over this asbestos filled warehouse on a bad neighborhood,if u do rent here get ready for being mistreated and lose a lot of time to get anything small or big (I think they haven't bought new props since 2006)

This is actually my first review of any business. I don’t usually get annoyed enough to care to compose a complaint. But I received probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from Movie Prop Rentals and Mercedes. I’m a set designer and prop stylist based in NYC. I also work in many different cities and countries. I contacted them 3 weeks before a job for some simple items and had to repeatedly email and call to get a response. Then I’m told they will send me images of what was available after asking me why I needed so many of an item (because I’m renting options as a prop stylist normally does) They didn’t send me images. I called and was texted back that I’d be contacted. They didn’t. I emailed asking for a response because the job was beginning the following day and they couldn’t be bothered. So I felt it necessary to write a review. It’s an odd business practice. No thank you.

These guys were great! I came in from LA not knowing any vendors and took a chance on them. Glad I did. Mercedes stayed after hours to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. They have a huge selection of props to choose from on top of their great customer service. Highly recommended!!
