Miami Passport Agency is great for in person passport renewals, new passports or any last minute passport needs. YOU MUST HAVE AN APPT!!! No walk-ins. Appointments only.

They are located in the Omni Center on the 4th floor in Suite 400. You can park across the street at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for $15, cash or Zelle only. It’s legit. Somebody told us about it. The park meet at Omni Center building is pricey at $15 for the first 60 minutes, eight dollars for each additional minute and $50 maximum daily rate.

We had plans to travel to the Bahamas on Thanksgiving day. On Monday night, we realized we didn’t have passports for the kids!!! No, seriously. Our two oldest have expired passports our youngest never got one. Oh man!!! This slipped our mind as we travel to Bahamas often and just forgot that you need a passport for travel there.

We jumped on the computer and went to the passport website. Very secured site as they ask for email and phone verifications. Good for us! They literally had one appt open at 9:30am on Tuesday morning, the next day. We snagged the appt and got all paperwork together, completed necessary forms and gathered proof of documentations. Woke the kids up the next day at 6:30am and went to Walgreens to get passport photos at 7am. Walgreens hustled and got us 3 passport photos within 15 minutes. $16.99 for each passport photo. Amazing! Worth every penny. Drove to Miami in the morning rush hour, funnnnn! Made it there by 9am for our 9:30am appt.

Found out they have a passport photo service on the first floor. They charge more at $24 per passport photo. It’s worth it for the convenience being in same building as Miami Passport Agency and a quick solution. There’s also World’s Smallest CafĆ© on first floor across from passport photo service. Coffee, tea, empanadas, small pizzas and pastries.

Went to 4th floor for Miami Passport Agency. Lots of security. They check your printed confirmation of appt. Then they check your documents before you go through the security check. Once inside, it’s massive. Quite efficient and smooth actually. You wait in line for them to check all actual documentation, they input into computer and give you a number. You sit and wait for them to call your number and which window to approach. Once we got called, they get everything together, confirm all information, check that both parents are present for kid’s passports, confirm kids match passport requests, double and triple check everything and then you pay all the fees (application, expedited fee, etc). They print a receipt and let you know you can return the same day between 12-2pm to pick up your passports. My return time was 1pm. They emphasized that you must be here before 2pm or you don’t get in!!! We arrived at 9am and everything went smoothly. We left around 10:30am.

I came back at 12:30pm for passport pick up. The first line before security was super long, about 30-40 people deep. Waiting to get through security. Once you get through security, the room I was in before was PACKED!!! Everyone that came back to pick up their passports. Almost every other chair was full and still more people coming in. Although my pick up time was estimated for 1pm, they didn’t call me until 1:45pm. Keep in mind, if they did call your name and you weren’t there, they will repeat your name. Got the passports!!! Yayyyyyy!!! So freaking happy.

All in all, I have to say Miami Passport Agency was incredibly efficient and such a smooth process. Of course it was a waiting game. But if you have everything they ask for, it should flow pretty smoothly. Thanks to everyone who helped us here! We are so grateful this worked out and we can travel to the Bahamas in less than a day now!

I was set to cruise out of Miami on Friday…port time 3 pm so i flew in on Wednesday to have a little Miami time. I woke up on Friday morning excited to get ready and at 9 am I realized I left my passport , at home, in Texas.

I had done so much research online about my cruise that I remembered watching a video of a young lady who lost her passport and had to get an emergency one. The only thing is, she had a couple of days before her cruise where I was supposed to be at the port in 6 hours. I immediately called the Miami passport agency while taking a hoe bath and throwing my clothes in suitcases, hoping i would be able to get a passport same day. I was told there were no appointments available but after hearing my story they advised me they would contact the office to see if they could squeeze me in and if they call me I can and if they don’t, well……

I then called my cruise line, explained what happened and they basically told me I could use a passport card or birth certificate or trusted travelers card…none of these things i had with me … because I was supposed to have my passport. I would be denied boarding.

The Miami passport agency did call me back and set me up for an appt at 10:15 am. I was there, on time, with all of my luggage. I was able to take my photo, do the paperwork and get a new passport. I walked out of the building (which closed at 2 pm) right at 2 pm and ubered straight to the port.

I have never been so stressed in my life. It was almost the cruise that never was. Thank you Miami Passport Agency for saving the day. I wouldn’t have made my trip without you.

The office was well-run, and the staff was friendly and helpful. For parking, I recommend using street parking, as it’s much cheaper than paying $18 for just 49 minutes in a garage.

If you’re planning to get a passport processed, go a few days before your travel. I went 4 days prior for my daughter’s passport, and we ended up being there for most of the day. Keep in mind that the office doors close at 3 PM, and the pick-up window is from 12 PM to 1:30 PM.

One tip: avoid bringing extra people if possible to make the visit smoother. Thankfully, when I returned for pick-up, my baby’s passport was ready, which was very efficient.

Overall, the process was smooth, and the staff made it manageable. Just plan ahead for timing and parking!

Why are federal agencies and other security contractors allowed to wear masks similar to the ones you see in Mexico and other third world countries. What do you have to hide? This is total draconian bs. No more mask! Masks are for robbers and other bad guys. Stop treating the citizens that you serve like animals and royal subjects. You are not our rulers. You are servants of the citizens of the US!

Truly surprised at the efficiency and how streamlined the process was. The DMV could take notes from the passport agency!
We walked in, waited in line for check in (about 7 minutes), got in line to get our documents checked and settled (about 15 minutes), sat down and waited to meet with the last agent (20 minutes), and we were out by the end of the hour. All employees were kind and welcoming, truly couldn’t have gone any better.

This office caters zero to people with Hidden Disabilities. First I was made to stand in a line for almost an hour, to wait, then I ask the security if I could sit or if they cater to people with disabilities and he said no. It’s the same process.

So I adhere to the process despite the discomfort. The office then told me that when the passport is ready they will Text me.

They Text me at 1:48pm, so I made my way, to the office and I got to the door at 2:01 and the security looked at me and said we are closed at 2. I said sir I am right here, I was here at 2, he looked at his watch and said it is 2:02pm. Complete lack of empathy.

About 10 minutes later he opened the door and let the white guy in, because the guy was visibly wearing insulin or a breathing thing and once again left me standing outside the door,

He then said that need to come back on Monday for the passport. Even though I was as expedited for same day at the agency to attend my grandmother funeral on Sunday.

I express to the security I have a disability and I struggled to come here and I’m here now.

Please can I speak to a supervisor. He said he is a supervisor and No.

I had to leave the passport , and miss the funeral,

This is the extremely worst I have ever been made to feel in my entire life. This was the worst service I ever experienced

This review is not about the Agency or its service level. As long as you have an appointment, you should have no trouble. However, beware of parking at the OMNI complex. It's run by mobsters. One hour is $23.00. However, in addition to that - and perhaps to make their math simple, there is an additional 23% TAX (on private property?). As a results, 1 hour parking totals $28.30 - true highway robbery
