Meat Shop of the Florida Keys has an amazing selection of the finest meats in the Florida Keys. From Ultra Prime Ribeye’s to Rose Vinegar and a huge selection of cheeses. I have never even seen Rose Vinegar, so excited to play with it. If you are ever visiting the Florida Keys, you are doing yourself a favor by hitting up this amazing little specialty purveyor. They even have my favorite cured meat……Pata Negra…….which is pig fed acorns in the region of Spain and the meat is so rich, sweet and delicious. This place is the best. Kind, helpful, delicious (delicious meat, not delicious people). They’ve stayed open late when I’ve been on my way and hit traffic.
Easter they sold me meat when we didn’t know how many people and told me to call if more people showed up and they’d do an emergency open!

Our favorite is the skirt steak, grilled with the chimichurri sauce they sell premade. We make it every time we have visitors in town and they just can’t believe how delicious. I’ve bought skirt steak at Publix and Gordon’s and it just doesn’t compare - theirs is much better and around the same price.

So we're tooling down rt 1 to Key West on Christmas Eve, no less, and pass thru Key Largo. We had two meat shop options, MSOTFK and a place in Key West that closed that night at 7pm. It was 430pm. So in we went to the Meat shop, and we picked out a grass fed ribeye. Nice thickness, marbeling.. but grass fed. I'm not a usual fan of grass fed beef- I find it can have a "liver-ish" timbre, that I really don't like. So..tonight 12/26, we had a NY Strip we also ended up with, and .. it was simply fantastic! Seared at the resort (outdoors on the balcony of course) on my cast iron skillet, and then finished in our wee toaster oven, and it was scrumptious. The ladies at the shop claimed their grass fed steaks didn't have the usual grass fed flavor and indeed they did not! EXCELLENT job on the meat quality guys! Keep up the great work!!

I had the most wonderful experience at The Meat Shop in Key Largo! Paula was an absolute gem, helping me select the perfect grass-fed meat for our Father's Day celebration. Her friendliness and genuine kindness truly made my visit special. It's clear that this small, family-owned business is run by good-hearted people who care about their customers and their community. Hands down the best quality meat in the keys. And being family owned and operated adds to the many reasons why we choose to shop here for all of our meats. Now that they have chicken also… no need to get any proteins from Publix anymore. Their cheese selection is fabulous as well. We love the black truffle cheddar cheese and the truffle honey! I could go on and on.. Highly recommend!!!

We were in Key Largo for the week and looking for some good cuts of beef to grill. The selection was amazing, the owner was extremely helpful and we brought home some fantastic cuts of meat. Highly recommend those looking for an elevated dinner experience not at statehouse restaurant prices.
