I called Ryan Freymuller in the sales department and was honest with him about the mess we made with our old compressed air system; we had water intrusion issues, improper sizing, and inadequate pressure. In a day or two we had a new design, with a detailed parts list and our order shipped in just a few days. With the help of the sales team at MDI/Transair, we had all the support we needed to do 100% of the piping installation portion of our new system ourselves; and we did it with just two people and did so in just a few short days and our system is more than 1000’ of pipe mostly hung from 50’ off the ground with a myriad of elbows, bends, and distribution manifolds. The system is so good, and the design is so good that the last time we even talked about compressed air was the day we installed it. No leaks, no problems, it’s just really killer stuff that nearly anyone can install. In my opinion, there is no reason to call someone else, or use another product.

Called to get a quote estimate for an item for which I had the exact model number I needed....a catalog item...arrogant sales person inquired about information that had yet to be developed as part of a detailed design effort requiring many man-hours of effort....not applicable during project proposal estimating (budgetary at this point). Just needed a catalog price for ROM costing (ie non-binding). Salesperson proceeded to lecture about how I needed to not wait till last minute to get pricing LOL....pursuit team only has 2 weeks to draft proposol for $300m project...the person is clueless....you don't design a system before securing a contract to do so....I just needed a budgetary estimate. SP proceeded to exclaim MDI will no quote a catalog item to which I responded with a "no buy from MDI" response....horrible.

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but felt I had to after my experience with MDI.

Had an issue with a shipment missing some items. I let MDI know about it and they said they "never make a mistake" because they double check their orders. I found this ironic because some of the lines on the order were over shipped. I let them know this, but they denied it, even when I was looking at an over shipment.

They also have a return policy that does not work well if you have any overage on a job at all. The plumbing contractor I was working with ordered about 10% extra on a job and tried to return their Transair material, but their return policy is that "all returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery". Most jobs take significantly longer than this, so this seems to me an unrealistic return policy.

Watch out! I am a dealer for compressed air equipment. They pretend to be the manufacturer and give you quotes. Be careful and know what you are looking for and who you are buying it from. You can get it cheaper. They are only a reseller and get hardly no discounts to pass on.
