I want to share what a remarkable transformation this Madstad windshield made to my 2021 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+. I can now ride comfortably at any speed without buffeting. The two lower side deflectors really make the difference! This windshield is by far, in my humble opinion, the best solution in terms of allowing this motorcycle to be experienced in its fullest. I highly recommend it!

Ordered a Madstad for my 2008 GL1800. The windshield totally changed the bike. It turned it from a good ride to a great ride. Eliminated all buffeting for me and my passengers. Highly recommend.

Sold me a product that didn’t fit my motorcycle. Refused to take it in return without adding a 20% restocking fee. Also made me pay shipping. Sent me a long series of lecture emails about why they don’t take returns, and don’t have better customer service. I spoke to my motorcycle dealer and asked him to never recommend this company ever again. They said they were gonna forward their policy to the manufacturer of the motorcycle as well; completely ridiculous. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

Update 1/8/2023- Had the windshield on the bike for over a month now and love it. After all the previous issues were ironed out overall I recommend the windshield and I would buy again.

Update 12/3/2022- Spoke with company owner on 12/1/2022 and he expressed empathy and was apologetic. He stated he was new owner and they were in the middle of taking ownership when I placed my order. I received the hardware in the mail as promised. For the lack of better words there was a perfect storm of issues that caused my delay and missing hardware. I feel as though I would order from MADSTAD again if the need should arise. The product is high quality and having the ability to adjust the windshield on the fly is awesome. Definitely recommend if you are having buffeting issues with your current setup or concerned it might be an issue for you with getting a windshield.

Update 11/30/2022- I found their Facebook page and sent them a message there and they responded quickly. I received notice that my missing parts have been shipped. I will update review once received and windshield has been installed with missing hardware.

Customer service with Madstad is non existent. I placed order for a windshield for my Harley Fat Bob on 11/6/22. This was just about the time the second hurricane hit Florida. I can certainly understand a delay on shipment due to that reason. I emailed them on 11/10/22 to get a status update for my order. They did reply that same day and stated my order was near completion but would be backed up at least one more day due to the tropical storm passing through their area and most likely it would ship the next day being the 11th. Completely understandable. Well I reached back out on the 14th as I had not received anything indicating it shipped. That email went with no reply. I finally got notice on 11/15/22 FedEx picked up my order. My windshield was finally delivered on 11/22/22. While installing I found that they shorted me the screws to mount the shield to the mounting bracket. I emailed them that day and as of today 11/29/22 I have yet to receive a response. I have made attempts to call them and it is impossible to speak to anyone there, you have to leave a message which is a waste of your time because they have not called me back.

I recently purchased the Adjustable Windshield & Fly Screen System for my Yamaha XSR900 (2016 - 2021) from MadStad Engineering, and I must say, I'm absolutely thrilled with the end result! While the installation process had its challenges, the excellent customer service and the final product have more than made up for any initial hiccups.

The installation, for me, went quite well, but I'll be honest; it's not a job for the faint-hearted. If you've had experience with installing similar parts or consider yourself reasonably handy with tools, you should be able to handle it. The provided instructions were helpful, but you need to pay attention to the details to ensure that everything is snug and comfortable once it's all in place.

When I received the initial package, I was pleased that it arrived on time and without any visible damage. However, there was an issue - it was missing some crucial parts that were necessary for the complete installation. This hiccup initially left me frustrated, as I was eager to get the windshield and fly screen set up.

But, here's where Madstad Engineering truly shines - their customer service. I reached out to them with my concerns, and I must say that Toni from their customer service team went above and beyond to assist me. Not only did they respond promptly, but they also shipped the missing parts with lightning speed, ensuring that I had everything I needed to complete my install. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.

With all the missing pieces in hand, I finally got the unit installed, and the end result is fantastic. The Adjustable Windshield & Fly Screen System not only looks great on my Yamaha XSR900, but it also performs admirably. It has made a noticeable difference in reducing wind buffeting and enhancing the overall riding experience.

In conclusion, the MadStad Engineering Adjustable Windshield & Fly Screen System is an excellent addition to my motorcycle. While the installation may require some prior experience, the exceptional customer service and the final product's performance make it all worthwhile. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to enhance their riding experience. Kudos to MadStad and Toni for their outstanding support!

This is easily the best windshield system I've ever ridden behind on my Goldwing.
For reference, I've ridden with a stock windscreen, a stock with a vent, a Baggershield, and a V-Stream Special Edition with vent. All of them fail to compare to the excellence that is the Madstad. I am 6'2" so I purchased the 16" shield in medium gray.
The Madstad creates the perfect bubble cockpit for the driver and passenger.
Sadly, my 2003 Goldwing was wrecked with the Madstad shield on it. I will not hesitate to purchase another Madstad for the replacement bike.

My third bike with the Madstad windshield system. I just bought a 2020 Kawasaki Z900 and the bracket was different from the previous years. They engineered a whole new bracket for me and made me a special windshield with a Z etched in it. The first picture of Mark and Blair installing it for me. Talk about customer service!!! I have a stack of other windshields I’ve bought over the years before I discover the Madstad system and none of them compare. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Madstad first.

Wow.... what a difference a real windshield makes!! When I bought my 2020 Honda Rebel I ordered a windshield and they gave me something 7 inches tall (they called it a wind screen). When I would go over 50 MPH it would feel like my helmet was going to be ripped off my head.

I contacted Madstad, because they are one of "The All Riders" preferred vendors, and got a "real" 14" tall windshield for my bike.

Riding my bike home that day and Saturday on the freeway; I was absolutely amazed by the difference in the wind resistance. The wind didn't seem to hit my helmet at all. It was a much much better experience.

I have been riding only about 6 months, I really didn't know that the wind could be such a "non factor".
