Hard to find anything decent at Macy's anymore.

Shelves are a mess as well.

2 stars only because of the Starbucks inside that keeps the kid happy.

Went looking for shoes. Received no help from the staff until I interrupted the conversation they were having at the registers. They seemed bothered I made them get back to helping customers.

Did not have my size in the shoe I wanted so no purchase was made.

I visited Macy's in Corte Madera, California, with mixed feelings. It's a bittersweet experience to witness the decline of what was once a thriving shopping hub.

Macy's, once a symbol of department store excellence, now seems to be on its last legs. The store's once-vibrant atmosphere has faded, mirroring the slow decline of the entire mall. It's disheartening to see the empty storefronts and hear the echo of footsteps in what used to be a bustling retail mecca.

My visit took an unexpected turn when I pricked my finger on a dress shirt pin. It appeared that someone had taken it out of its packaging and attempted to pin it back together. This oversight speaks volumes about the lack of attention to detail and care that was once synonymous with Macy's.

On a positive note, parking is still ample, which isn't surprising given the decline in mall visits. It seems like finding a parking spot is easier than ever, a silver lining in the cloud of declining foot traffic. However, the overall atmosphere leaves me yearning for the mall's glory days. It's evident that times have changed, and while I have fond memories of this place, it's hard to ignore the writing on the wall.

In the end, my three-star review reflects the nostalgia I feel for what once was, rather than the reality of what Macy's and the mall have become.

I had the worse phone experience with the manager Won. I tried to have an item be delivered to me but Won did not know how to send the payment link. Because of his lack knowledge he disconnected the phone. I thought it was accident when I realize he deliberately hung the phone up on me.

It’s clearly evident that Won needs emotional intelligence training. He needs to empowered with proper tools and training to help customers.
The store manager Amanda made it twice worse by condemning Won bad behavior. Amanda’s lack of empathy explains why her direct reports treat customers poorly.

It’s the only good and clean looking Macy’s you actually will enjoy. Sales people are always friendly and nice. It’s easy to find what you need without going through lots of departments. I like to stop by time to time to shop for cosmetics or shoes

The Macys store (like most brick and mortars) aren’t what they used to be. I could have ordered online but I wanted to feel some holiday spirit. Macys did have some festive decorations but the inventory of some items was limited. The store is clean, well organized and there were sufficient staff to meet my needs. Unfortunately, the items I was looking for were unavailable or the selection was limited. How nice would it be to go back to pre-internet days when holiday shopping was an event? Where treasures were found around every corner? This is a nice store if you’re not looking for specific items. If you are shopping for non-specific items available in the store then this will be a rewarding shopping experience.

Today, Dec. 3rd 2021 I was at Macy's handbag section, I bought my wife a Gucci purse for Christmas, together with several other items for Christmas presents, my wife wanted a different color so I went to the store to exchange it. That was all I wanted to do. The lady who "helped" me made a comment I quite not liked. She said oh this is an expensive item. I need to call my manager. Manager came, attitude in hand. No greetings or anything she said she could not exchange the item because of a missing tag. Thats fair but no one said anything about a tag when I bought the purse. They kept putting me on wait so they could help other people. I felt profile. Never felt that way before. Why was the white ladies time more valuable than mine? Why was it such a big deal my exchange when I had a receipt? When they helped the other ladies it was so fast. The way I thought it would be for me. Why make the Mexican guy wait? At the end after they triple checked the purse they finally gave me a gift card and I was able to buy the other color. I don't know why were they so adamant to help me. 45min. Wasted for something that could've taken 10.. like the other ladies. The managers name was Was Elena or something like that. Just check who work today at 12pm or so.

Ashford medium-range clothing in their house brands they showed me two brands only that are basically a joke and then recommended another one that's twice the price but still on clearance. The men's section at Macy's in Corte Madera is pathetic. Is be shown the shoe section for men I was pointed and there's household out discounted beat wears. I'm not very happy I will
keep ordering online at Dillard's.
