Shhh. Longboat pass is my favorite spot as a Fl native to hit on a sunny day. Boat in or kayak from Cochina Beach ramp just around the corner to the north. Just a bit south theres food nearby at Mar Vista, The Shore, or Bridge Street docks a little bit north.
Easy gulf access or just hang out in the protected Bayside. Usually quiet mid week and sandbar lifestyle on Jewfish key sandbar gets busy on nice weekends but sometimes that's the attraction. Enjoy.

I am from Dallas Texas visiting my brother here in Bradenton.
The sand, the waves, the shells, I enjoyed my time at Longboat.
It was a nice reprieve after having to bury our mom.

This is a bridge Jeff and I cross over almost daily as we live on Longboat Key and this bridge takes us to the famous Anna Maria Island just one island north of us. Every time you cross there is a different and spectacular view. I’ve been able to witness the many personalities of the Gulf of Mexico and all her beauty. While crossing over heading north look to your right where you will find Jewfish key a sandbar popular for boaters to anchor up and walk around.
