Last night, 01/24/25 Officer Becker (I think that was his name) pulled me.over on southbound Capital Blvd, just north of I-10, just after dark. He approached my vehicle, was very polite and professional. He asked how my friend and I were doing. I explained we came from PCB for an MRI. He asked if every went well and we said yes. He shared a similar family experience. He said "I pulled you over because behind you, your license plate light looked like it wasn't working. But when I examined it I could see it was working, but dim. We have complaints from neighbors in the area about cars speeding, and just wished to confirm your light is OK". He saw my license and said "Your license is valid, and since the light does work, I won't cite you. If you are stopped returning to PCB simply inform the Officer I stopped you earlier, and please replace the bulb".

I'm 70, and there are not words adequate to describe his warm friendly, professional experience. Within seconds of his introdiction I KNEW whatever the outcome will be correct. His ability to present himself as confident, personable, caring and professional. He is a younger gentleman and I KNOW he is the kind of Officer we need more of.

UPDATE 1/30/2025
I haven't driven my vehicle in the dark until today. I changed the license plate bulbs with new owns. Thank you again for bringing this issue to my attention.

Last night my car battery died on the side of the road. I was able to have an officer come out and help me through the whole experience with towing and trying to jump my car battery. He was extremely nice, calming, and trustworthy in that situation. Great officer.

Yesterday evening my car stalled at the Centerville and Blair Stone intersection, and I was scared and helpless. My car is 23 years old but rarely loosing all powers while driving. While I was waiting for roadside assistance from my insurance in the heat, Deputy Richard Womble stopped his vehicle behind my car and checked on me and my car. Deputy Womble was able to start my car and drove to the side. Even though he had an event that he had to be there soon, he followed my car so I would feel okay to drive home. Deputy Womble did not leave his sight driving behind me until I arrived home safely. If it wasn't Deputy Womble stopping to help me, I would have been on the roadside for hours scared waiting for my insurance to respond to my call. Thank you so much Deputy Womble! I will never forget your kindness and help. 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

The Officers responsible for installing No Trespassing signs upon Penalty of Imprisonment should be ashamed and reprimanded for trying to deter US Citizens from visiting the old Seaboard Railroad Union Station downtime.

It is not illegal to visit a building on the national registry of historical buildings! Amtrak keeps telling us Passenger Rail Service is returning to the city within a few years, YET WE CANNOT EVEN VISIT THE TERMINAL WITHOUT THREATS OF BEING ARRESTED? What this Sheriff's Department and this City Council is doing is an abomination! Aside from that there is a huge sign on the front of the Terminal promoting Tourism! Disgusting...

I wish I would have gotten this officers name, but he was so kind and helpful. I had my first blow out on a busy part of capital circle. The officer was there in just a few minutes to help. He didn’t hesitate to get my car out of traffic and change the tire himself. I had my toddler with me at the time so I was very frightened to change my tire alone on the side of the road. This man needs a raise and am so thankful for his service.

I was pulled over today. I won't go into detail why, but it was a legitimate reason. I just wanted to give credit where credit is due. I was treated with a great amount of respect today; and even though it got a bit intense, the officers were very thorough and efficient. Everyone remained professional and I believe there was even training moments happening while the process occurred.

This is the worst possible sheriffs department you can ever deal with in your life! I filled a sexual assault complaint and the only thing they did was go and talk to the individual who assaulted me and laughed and joked with him and never pursued anything. They are inhumane and a cult. I lived in Tallahassee for over 15 years and dealing with them ever was a nightmare. I had an additional incident where a drunk neighbor pulled a gun on my family and again they never did anything. Come to find out they were friends with the individual. They are truly nothing but a disgrace.
