Moved to LAL in 2017. Have seen the community decline since moving in. Management does not seem to make rounds. As much of the community are Snow Birds, the community appears unkept (I am a year round resident ). Have had to contact Hometown Corporate office as the office and local management does not seem to care.

Monthly assessment rates keep going up forcing a lot of the older folks out. While I am aware that the cost of living and inflation has increased but I for one don't see anything upgrades for the money. Lot rent is almost to the point that it is equivalent to a house payment.

I moved here in Dec 2015 and it seemed to be quieter at night until the Fall/Winter of 2017. Not respectful in a lot of respects not just the noise!

I've lived here over 9 years and experienced verbal harassment and bullying and been cursed at multiple times especially when cleaning up leaves in the street that aren't maintained by the park or residents. Sweeping leaves and looking up to see a big truck coming right at you is concerning! Being ganged up on by two bullies is concerning! Imagine someone yelling at you to watch your step that they are watching you! You better watch your step!! Then trespassing and intimidation.

Please God help ... please send some good, kind, considerate neighbors and take back the Dennis the Menace types! “Be kind to one another” is a Bible verse from Ephesians 4:32. It encourages people to be compassionate, forgiving, and tenderhearted towards each other.

Wow on the harassment with "grown" men in their trucks and golf carts driving back and forth like some speedway at my driveway and doing u-turns multiple times and parking right in front of my driveway and just sitting there. This morning, the nuisance guy sat there for minutes then slowly drove off and must have signaled his team member to come and do a u-turn after him.

Imagine that a new neighbor starts listing their medical history saying they are allergic to this and that ... then a day or two later next conversation is that they had a severe allergic attack the previous night and if something happens to them that their family will not be happy and have a lawyer already in Wildwood and will sue ... threatening me?

I guess I am not cut out for this kind of living. I don't like that if you go outside there is absolutely no privacy. Tried some of the clubs but didn't feel like I fit in. Nobody obeys the rules we do have. And I don't find it the friendliest place I have live by far.

The Park is very friendly and quiet. Walking distance to banks, grocery stores, pharmacy and several restaurants bar, and shopping mall, within a gated community. Looks as though all lawns and homes are well taking care of. Two new homes being constructed for less than One hundred ten thousand dollars. Nice pool and heated whirl pool year around. Fishing in the ponds and the Park is very pet friendly. Many people only use their golf karts for basic transport. great place safe ,secure, and serene.

This Park is one of the Best, if not the Best. Carlos is very nice and responsive to our needs. This Park has just been upgraded, beautiful flowers, golf course, pool, wt. room, roads and even the stop signs & road name signs. People who live here are nice. and quiet. My wife & I love it here. We recommend living here.

My parents are snowbirds. And I think I'm going to follow in their footsteps. It's awful nice down there. Even in the winter time I love Missouri. I love the snow. I'm just getting older and it hurts a little more. Heated swimming pool occasional 70 80 degree day in the winter time down there to thumbs up.

If we had found the right home, this is definitely the 55+ community I would like to live in. The amenities, size of community & location were perfect. Pam Guerrette is a peach!

We purchased a manufactured home here in October 2010 to be near my FIL and two SILs who live here after MIL passed away. We were spending a small fortune on plane, car rental and hotels for trips from New York needed to assist family and decided it would make sense to just buy a place. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made even though we were young by park standards, 53 at that time and no where near retirement age. When FIL started to decline my husband was able to fly down and had a great place to stay while helping out,,,it happened repeatedly until his passing. This park has the best location of any senior park that I am aware of in this area. You can ride your golf cart to do just about anything you need to do! Banking, grocery shopping, Home Depot, a mall with a bowling alley, Book Store, movies, Belks, restaurants and take out Chinese..The park itself has so much to do…golf, swimming, bingo, cards, Ladies craft club, a library, a pool table, and my favorite..a fitness center. The people who live here are kind and very generous to their neighbors. We have witnesses this repeatedly with our special needs SILs. Everyone looks out for them when we are not in town. When the in-laws chose this park back in the early 1980s they really hit a home run…a great great place to be in your older years..
