If I could give it a zero, I would. My mom had to stay there for 20 days for a broken leg. It was awful. I'd go there in the morning and she'd be lying in her own filth. I had to clean her up and bath her. She wasn't the only one. The poor woman next door had a BM and she was pleading for me (a visitor) to get someone to clean her up. No one to be found. I think the poor nurses did the best they could, but they are WAY understaffed. It was a hell hole. DON'T send someone you care about to this place. It was awful.

To "future" and "potential" customers of Lake Port Square,
I was transferred from UFH Hospital to this rehab facility for my left knee which had a minor surgery.
I was not here very long, but already very impressed with the following:
-- Nursing and caring staff always friendly, helpful, and ready to help the patients
-- As being a vegan, I was taken care really well by the kitchen staff, the dietitian, and the proper food every day.
-- Working with internet, I had problem on the first night being here, but the IT staff was working with me until they solved the problem. A+ people.
-- Last but not least, the rehab team, who are very professional, and really care about getting you stronger and go home sooner.

I don't mention about the surroundings, because I am concentrating on my body recovery, but I am sure being on the Lake, this facility does have an attractive background, panorama and beautiful settings!

Horrible place. They left my husband lay in his feces for 3 hours. The nurses are rude and snotty.

This review is focused solely on the Rehab at this facility.

Following cervical spinal surgery, I was told by my surgeon to walk as often as possible. I was sent here for inpatient rehab.
My experience here was not at all what I expected or needed. I would go to PT in the morning for 45 minutes. I would do exercises to strengthen my weakened body. I would walk back to my room. The therapists are way overworked. After that I couldn't walk with out a staff. Staff was never available and I spent the rest of the day in bed or a wheelchair. One small walk a day is not going to help. 23 hrs a day in bed is not rehab. Don’t expect any rehab on the weekends and Friday is a short staff.
After 3 weeks here I was actually weaker and had lesser ability to walk. For these reasons I would not recommend this facility for rehab. In my case outpatient rehab and walking at home would have been a better choice.

I have waited months to write this review. I wanted to make sure what I had to say came from a calm place instead of a grief stricken mind. This seemed like a nice place and that they cared while my mom was in there. The nurses were friendly and would joke around. One evening a worker made a harmless joke to my mom about not dying until her shift was over. Well that night/early morning, my mom had to be taken from there to the ER across the street and did not make it. My mom had a lot of health problems, but I still would like to know what happened. The Lake Harris facility did not reach out to me to offer condolences or to ask me to retrieve her belongings. Instead I had to contact them multiple days later. Her cane was missing and they stated she never had a cane. I had to push them to search for it and of course it was found in physical therapy. The cane was of sentimental value otherwise I would have just left it there. Someone from an office did offer condolences at that time. There was a young male employee whom offered several times to carry my mom's belongings to the car. Which was nice the first time he asked, but not when he kept insisting. I was in the throes of grief and just wanted to get out before waves of tears came over me again.
The events of those few days keep replaying in my mind. I cannot get that comment about not dying until the shift is over out of my mind. Certainly the interactions after she passed could have been handled with more tact and professionalism. At the very least, a phone call to offer condolences would have been appreciated.

My father was in rehab here for about a month and I was very pleased with the facility. Every person that worked there was always so friendly, place was very clean and my dad received excellent care from the dinning staff, housekeeping, physical therapy, and nursing staff. He was very pleased with his stay which made it easier on me knowing he was in good hands. Would definitely recommend this place! Thanks for everything!
