2nd time using this imaging center for my mammogram. Being in the road full time it's hard to find a good clean,well lit,caring people! Loved how easy it was to book this appointment and be able to schedule next years! Imaging center is inside with a beautiful atrium with Walgreens,coffee shop and other accessible offices. Definitely will come back here .Close to our RV Campground

I arrived 15 minutes early as asked. I was registered and sat waiting. 45 minutes later I get an email reminding me of my appt which worried me that they didn’t know I was there. I checked and was told if I registered, they knew I was there. Another woman arrived before email came and she was at wrong location. She was told to take a seat and desk attendant said they would work her into schedule. Woman approached desk 10 min later to ask if she should cancel other appt. Desk person said when she didn’t show it would be cancelled. Another 10 minutes go by and woman has not been registered, desk person then says that the test she was to get had only 3 techs and they were running behind. Then she said she was fairly certain woman could be worked into schedule. This woman’s test was the same as mine. Total time at Brownwood location 1 hour 40 min. Time for procedure 10 min. Very poor service. It did not used to be this way. Also Bone density testing is 6-9 months out.

This is my last review because I'm not going to return there. Number one, I waited over a month for an ultrasound. Then found out later there was another imaging service that could have done it same week. So, I suffer for another month. Secondly, they build the wrong insurance company. All this took at least an hour of my time to straighten out. Goodbye!

The earlier breast cancer is detected the more treatable it is. A diagnostic mammogram is ordered when there are issues that cause suspicion for breast cancer. Tell me why appointments for diagnostic mammograms are a month or more away. I went for my appointment today and lost my order. I had my doctors's office fax over the order earlier in the day. Was told that the faxes aren't retrievable for 24 hours. More like you didn't want to go in there and look. It's a sad situation what healthcare has turned into. Praying I don't have cancer because these delays won't help the prognosis.

UPDATED: My wife’s 4th visit and my first for a cardiac CT scan. Flawless system again as long as your doctor sends in orders, make your reservation in advance and show up a little earlier than your appointment time. Arrived 15 minutes early, called back 10 minutes early and left right on schedule. All staff were professional and positive. UPDATED: Third time visiting Lake Medical. Making the appointment was simple, registration/check in was quick and easy and all staff from start to finish were excellent. Had barely finished changing out of my clothes when called me back for the mammogram and basically the same for the bone density scan. My second appointment was supposed to be at 1:30 pm and was out the door by 1:25 pm for both. Highly recommend this practice. UPDATED: Check in was very easy as long as you have your cell phone with you to direct you along the way. Verified my information and texted when it was time to go back. The tech was great as she gave clear directions, was very personable and made it as easy as possible. Arrived early and was done within 10 minutes of my appointment time. PRIOR: Did not have a negative experience like other reviewers noted. There was a slight issue with the scheduling of the appointment. The front office staff addressed the issue quickly, was in the back in less than 10 minutes and seen five minutes later. The tech was excellent - sorry I did not get her name - as she explained what was she doing and why. And this was the “least painful” mammogram to date.

Don’t fall for their iodine mammogram. They called me up, said I needed it because of my density, said it was FULLY covered by my insurance. When I got there, I checked again, and again I was told there was absolutely no extra cost to me, it was FULLY covered. Just got a bill for over $300. They lie. It’s not your primary doctor recommending this. It is their doctor and they call you repeatedly trying to get you to do it. DON’T fall for it. I distrusted the medical industry before and now I just hate them. These are terrible people.
