I didn't go very far because it was hot and there was no shade. It looked if I went farther that the trail would have gone into the grove of trees eventually. Nice view of the nearby towns.

I call it Kite Ridge because of the consistent breeze from the West that keeps eagles and kites floating above. Nice connector trails to Lindsay Museum and Acalanes

Popular and fairly easy grade. Good parking with public toilet at start of trail. If parking full, use parking in front of adjacent school or tennis courts across street (busy street). Groomed trail with some single track. About 1 mile to top gate, and access to all of Briones open space - where the adventure begins!
