I hate shipping DHL items, it’s never convenient. Well I might be taking that back if all shipping experiences are as lovely as going to the Lafayette Pack and Ship!! I had a label and a package and assumed I’d need to buy packing tape and probably even be charged for the scissors used to trim down the label like other stores. Not so! Very pleasant experience with this shop, and appreciated the detailed explanation from the gentleman who helped me with my DHL return. Great experience!

I was in the area attending a relatives funeral and working to distribute personal items to family members. I needed to ship a much loved children's rocking horse from CA to FL and was not sure the best way to get it there. We had a great experience here. I had several items to ship fro California to New Orleans including a piano and a large painting. They took the time to explain to me how they would crate everything and package it safely. They also kept my items on hold and waited to ship them until I returned from my trip. Great service, friendly people 10 out of 10 would recommend!

The owners, Ian and Sue, are genuinely some of the nicest people i’ve ever met. They helped me through the entire process of shipping a lot of my belongings across the country because I essentially know nothing about it. Not only did they help me unload items from my car and let me use part of their space to reorganize my stuff, but they then helped me pack most efficiently and with the intent of wanting to save me as much money as possible. By the end (or first two minutes) I wanted to just be their friends as they are so lovely and funny. The stress of having to pack and ship everything on my birthday (due to moving the next day) almost had me breaking down and wanting to cry but they instantly turned that around for me without even knowing. 10/10 I wish I had more to ship just so I could say hi to them again.

What a pleasant experience it was to meet Ian! My granddaughter and son-in-law were stuck in Europe with an expired passport. We needed an emergency passport application notarized before they could board a flight back to San Francisco. I contacted Ian and explained our situation. He generously offered to reopen his store after closing hours so that we could get the document notarized, scanned, and transmitted. He wouldn’t accept a tip - he was simply happy to help us in our time of need! Great guy! Solid citizen! The world needs more Ians!

I have been coming to Lafayette Pack and Ship + Print for a couple years now for unusual needs: printing maps, tokens, and more for a homebrewed Dungeons & Dragons campaign. I've asked Ian and Sue to field unusual requests with specific parameters (e.g. printing large custom battle maps in which the grid is perfectly 1"x1") that have often required a fair amount of trial-and-error. Ian and Sue have been patient, resourceful, and extraordinarily friendly as we work together to get my prints just right and marvel at the results. I wouldn't be able to run the home game that I do without them and I look forward to seeing them every time I need to prepare for my next session. This shop is a Lafayette gem!
