I'm going to be frank. I know very little about body lotions, creams, or fragrances. I'm a simple man with simple needs. With that being said, I'm married to a woman of refine tastes, and delicate skin. Finding the right gift for her would be a challenge, one I was prepared to spend hours to invest finding the right gift. Thankfully however, I was able to work with a world expert and he was able to help me pick the right gift in very little time.

Mario From La Bouquetere was INCERDIBLY knowledgeable and able to help me navigate all the complexities of picking the right gift for my wife. He was attentive, informative, funny, and made me feel confident about the selections we made for my wife.

When the order finally arrived (SUPER FAST SHIPPING! 2 days) I was blown away by the care and detail that went into the packaging. I'm so used to almost every box I get being poorly put together without any care and not enough protection. This was NOT the case. Everything was beautify packaged and presented making the gift giving experience that much better. My wife was blown away by not only the care and quality of the packaging, but the products themselves.

The lotions and creams, and especially the Pamplemousse Vanille body lotion were amazing. My wife says they not only smell incredible, but leave her skin feeling hydrated and silky smooth. These products really do make her already incredible skin that much better.

My $100 Santal perfume went bad at year two with half the bottle left over. My favorite scent! and I’ve been buying from this company for 10 years. No credit, returns, exchanges, or a replacement with a cheaper, smaller roll on oil… nothing. “You just have to purchase it again”. And douse myself in it daily so I use up the bottle before it goes bad again? Love their scents.. but their customer service clearly has a ways to go. Lost a repeat customer here, sorry!

I bought several products and all have performed wonderfully. They also have exceptional customer service - I seemed to have an allergic reaction to the perfume and sent them an email requesting the ingredient list. They called me shortly after to explain the ingredients and process and offer a refund. I declined because there's nothing wrong with it - I just seem to have sensitive skin! I really appreciated the call and attention to detail.

La Bouquetiere has wonderful products! Unfortunately, the customer service is less than stellar and truly disappointing. After several years of being a loyal customer, and always ordering new products, the first time I simply wished to return one item, the owner was totally rude and began to hurl accusations about me opening the product. How do you know that if we are over the phone?

This is also one of those companies that never has items on sale, so you really have to be a fan of their products to continue purchasing as there is no customer incentive, discounts.

Mario, it's a shame that your customer service skills are very poor, and so is your disposition. Truly a sabotage to your own company. I won't be purchasing from you anymore! You have many competitors with a far higher quality of customer relations. It's awful when a company you like treats you and your business like a second class citizen.

I placed an order by phone with Mario this evening. I have been using La Bougueterie products since I first found them in the 1990’s. I have never found another business that meets the quality of products Mario sells. All products are fresh, beautifully packaged and unique to La Bouqueterie. While the products are not cheap I would not want them to be. Understand I am retired and living on my retirement so I have to watch my money. They have tremendous sales throughout the year. When the packages arrive it is like receiving a gift that was custom wrapped and packaged for a very special person on a momentous occasion. I am very good at shopping and pride myself in getting the most for my money. Treat yourself to the products from La Bouqueterie. You will not regret it and I like supporting the family businesses more than the big chain stores. Mario is very helpful if you are not sure about the product or fragrance.

This company makes the finest products that I have ever tried. I've used their whipped body cream, air freshener, liquid soap, hand soap, the rice powder is fabulous! The hand cream is wonderful and it all comes packaged beautifully and in a timely fashion. A really superior collection of products!

La Bouquetiere is located in San Francisco, but I first encountered them over ten years ago at Richmond, Virginia's Short Pump shopping center. I have an incredibly fond memory of spending the day there with my mother, and visiting a boutique where one of the shop girls exclaimed that we must experience a scent that was beloved by all who tried it: LB's Embrasse Moi. While my mom and I enjoy quite different fragrance profiles, the prediction was entirely true. Embrasse Moi is gorgeous: floral, rich with rose and violet, but fresh, featuring fruity top notes. I recall both of us swooning over it, each purchasing our own bottle of lotion. I treasured mine, but quickly used it up.

Desperate for a refill, I found La Bouquetiere's website, and discovered a plethora of offerings, with the expected (and myriad) bath and body standards, along with candles, laundry and cleaning supplies, gift sets, even scented drawer liners. Everything is made in France, and the old-fashioned Victorian style illustrations used for branding are charming. Since that time, I have stocked up about annually with a large order that meets most of my household cleaning needs. While their prices can be higher than what one would normally pay for this type of product, if you sign up for emails, they offer various sales, often with free shipping. Even without a discount, I have decided that beautifully perfumed laundry powders, countertop cleaners, and linen waters are a worthwhile luxury I want in my life.

Orders arrive carefully and beautifully packaged, with tissue paper and a note. It feels like a present I bought for myself! They always include generous samples, and I end up finding something new to adore each time. Most recently, I requested a sample of Gardenia, and they sent a complimentary bottle of lotion! Such excellent customer service. I just love this company so much! Beyond Embrasse Moi, which remains a strong favorite, I also enjoy Pampelmousse Vanille (like grown up orange creamsicle), Citron (elevated citrus), Delice Infini (fresh and floral), and Reve Passionel (flowery and a smidge powdery, but in a good way). They offer about 25 fragrances, so you are sure to find your own to cherish.

Though I have not visited their retail space, it is high on my wish list, and you best believe when I have some extra time in SF (which, let's be honest, is never really the case, so I just need to make it a priority), I'll be stopping by. I imagine a magical space overflowing with all manner of frothy, French delights.

Terrible customer service! I signed up for their newsletter two days ago and received a 20% off coupon in my email as a first time customer. I called the company to make my purchase, and the man argued with me over the phone that I didn't receive the coupon. I explained that I will send proof of what his company sent me,including the date and time I received their coupon, which was within 24 hours.I sent proof of the company's email including the date and time it was sent to me,only to hear back from the clerk in a message that the coupon expired in 2017. Instead of being honest,and admitting that the company made a mistake,he chose to lose a great customer. I will make sure I tell my clients my horrible experience with this dishonest company.
