i have done business at this place for over thirty years, today my experience with them was surprisingly awful, i had a list of things to buy and the person that was helping me seemed i was interrupting him and he let me know he was an electrician and not familiar with some things i was looking for , then the lady at checkout whom i never saw before was not very courteous either. i have spent thousands of dollars there maybe they were just having a bad day.

Great people, had to stop and remove my tire in order to buy and install a new bolt for my brake caliper so I could safely drive home, the staff was very helpful and understanding. They checked in on me multiple times to insure I was okay!

Kiles has been around as long as I can remember, and the staff has been consistently pretty good. they can make keys, and fix window screens on site which is super handy! They also are always pretty well stocked, was in there just the other day, needs a machined thread bolt, nut and washer, and was able to easily find it myself, and got a new toilet flush setup as well! But either way they pretty much have whatever you need from a hardware store in a convenient location.

Returned product ( in original unopened large box) which was not what I thought I was ordering. I didn't note till returning home. ( Ordered on line, in stock pick up at Kile's).
Woman at register for return too discourteous ( at best) w attitude for me ever to shop there again. (The bleached blonde older woman so as not to implicate others).

WOW, I just had the WORST experience in here. Went to buy a shovel/sifter and the lady was SO rude.

A sign below the sisters said hand held shark tooth sisters were $32.99 (did not state size) the cashier rang it up and we paid. I noticed we were charged 39.99. I mentioned something to let them know that the sign said that.

The lady said very strongly, "no, that's for the small one" I said the sign doesn't say the size, just wanted to let you know.
She responded that there is NO SIGN that says that. I was looking at it. I replied that the sign says that and doesn't say a size, you should probably change it. She said There has NEVER been a sign. The cashier said she could see the sign and that's what it said. I said, I was just letting you guys know. I know how to read.

Then she got really NASTY and told me that I didn't need to get an attitude.... UM, she was being nasty from the start about there not being a sign. I was trying to shop local and not buy off Amazon. If this is the way I'm gonna be treated, they can keep their stuff.

I wasn't even asking for the difference in the price. I was trying to be nice. Disgusting behavior.

I always thought small businesses thrive because of exceptional customer service. Kile’s Ace thinks insulting customers and swearing at them is acceptable behavior. I returned a roll of duct tape with a receipt, and Penny got unglued when I asked her why she needed my name. She became aggressive and more insulting when she couldn’t explain why. There is another Ace in Osprey that I will now frequent as I refuse to be verbally abused by a cashier. Ace should investigate and fix this problem before more customers are lost.
