An incredible tour—highly recommended to everyone! Captain Adam and his mate Ty made us feel completely safe by providing clear instructions and answering all our questions. They were very approachable and explained how to make the most of our snorkeling trip. On the way to the reef, Ty gave us a thorough lesson on snorkeling and shared valuable tips that even experienced snorkelers would appreciate. The rental equipment was of good quality and in great condition. Thank you both for an unforgettable experience!

Great place for snorkeling and kayaking! Be sure to either check their site or call regarding warnings before you book your excursions. We didn't do that and there was a "stinging sealife" warning and 90% of the folks on our snorkeling excursion got stung by jellyfish. They were everywhere. We spent more time watching for (and attempting to avoid) the jellies than enjoying the view of the reef.
We went back the next day for kayaking. The map was a little hard to navigate, but definitely find the spot they call the cathedrals. Its basically a canopy of mangroves. We stopped in there, tied off and snorkeled with the kids right there and they got to see more coral and sea life (jelly free) than we did snorkeling the previous day. It was great and we will definitely do it again.

This is a fantastic park, great place for kayaking. Wasn't lucky enough to see Marine life. But it is a park.

Amazing snorkeling experience. Do not need to be a scuba diver to enjoy all the sea life of the keys reef. Thousands of fishes in a very easy to do excursion. It is appropriate for adults and kids. It takes only 10 minutes for the boat to get to the reef and enjoy.
I am traveling around Americas and Europe. If you want to know lot of very interesting places follow me in Google.

The ramp is in decent shape. One side is currently closed, but it wasn't too busy. There is a hose on premises but they don't let you use it. Apparently it is illegal to flush your motor in a state park anyway.

John Pennekamp state park is a national treasure! If you are in the keys this is a must stop! You take a boat out to one in 5 stops we got lucky and went to Christ of the Abyss. The Snorkeling is beautiful and I can’t recommend making this a must do excursion enough! It’s absolutely phenomenal. Bring water for the boat ride as the salt and sun can dehydrate quickly. There’s a little beach area too but the Snorkeling is really where it’s at!

This review is purely for the snorkel tours. Great crew and boat, equipment etc. also the crew made it clear that they want to protect the reefs and put on sunscreen prior to boarding so it dries and does not damage the coral. which is awesome! but the reefs, or at least the ONE we went to (other tours go to two at least) was WRECKED. Tons of dead coral and if it was alive it was in the process of dying. Didn’t see much at all, I’ve gone diving and snorkeling in hundreds of places, this was one of the worst. This is a national park and protected area, don’t allow tours to go to these places if they are like that esp if you are trying to protect them. Shame on you 🙁 would not recommend for snorkeling, bottom line.
