Having lived and worked across the country and now retired to Sweet Home Alabama, I remain so impressed with Joe Wheeler Electric for the dedication and professionalism of its staff.
After connecting new electrical service to the Barndominium under construction on the Hillsboro property of wife and sister-in-law's childhood home, we later began experiencing inexplicable and irregular power flow. We figured start at the top and try to eliminate possibilities. When we called Joe Wheeler, the representative showed genuine concern reflected in the fact Joe Wheeler service representatives, to our surprise, showed up at our door just hours later. Jeremiah and Cody proved to be knowledgeable, conscientious and kind beyond the call of duty. After testing and confirming that power was flowing into our meter box, their job was done. But Jeremiah and Cody were able to borrow on their vast experience by suggesting troubleshooting that might -- and, as it turned out, did --allow for us to pinpoint and subsequently correct the source of the issue.
The Barndominium has power, allowing us to complete its interior construction, and Joe Wheelerv has an added, very satisfied, utility customer.

High!! Utility Bills, Doesn't care to check the meters and help people if and when Your electrical Is fault or not. They just drive on by. There all for money. They need to Do there job and fire some people. If You are moving into the Trinity area and all your options are . Are JOE WHEELER. You would be much better off moving somewhere else.

Poor customer service, unhelpful, uncaring. After 3 calls and an email I finally got someone who told me *I* have to contact ATT (I don't have cable or internet with ATT) to get them to remove their cable from an old pole that Joe Wheeler "replaced" with a new one on my property last year in order to remove the old one they left here. Not one person has told me I needed to do this until today when I was clearly frustrated. Wires and cables were cut and left at the bottom of the new pole - they told me today, after my last call, someone came out and said "those aren't ours" so they left them. Well..they aren't mine and they weren't there until your guys installed a new pole. Very frustrating experience and as a paying customer I don't appreciate being given the run around and the lack of knowledge and customer service from your people. The least someone could have done is call me to say hey, you're going to have to call ATT about the old pole because we can't remove their stuff and those cables/wires aren't ours but we apologize for leaving a mess. A really horrible experience all around.

Terrible terrible terrible company pretty sure the only decent person there is a wonderful man Johnny who went out of his way to help my mother in law. Man definitely deserves a raise.
However if you have joe wheeler electric and you fall behind and you’re needing oxygen to live they will cut your power off after putting you on a limited supply you’ll have five days to pay or they cut everything completely. Didn’t realize they were legally allowed to kill people.

Price gouging. I moved from Decatur to Somerville and had to pay a membership fee to my service turned on. When my bill came due I had to pay the bill plus another membership fee. I want Decatur utilities back. This is ridiculous

We need other options for power in our area. I’m so sick of JW. My husband and I built a house this past year and my husband decided to build a “shop” on the property. We had to pay $3100 to have power ran to his building. And when I say have power ran, they did almost nothing. My husband has to install the pole and meter. We were told by multiple people that if the shop was made “livable” then our $3100 would be refunded to us. Now my husband has finished his “man cave” and made it “livable” and JW is backtracking saying they never told us that and because I called it a “shop” instead of a “apartment/garage combo” we wouldn’t be eligible to get our money back. JW is just a bunch of crooks that are taking advantage of people because we have no other option.

I am Benjamin Smith. I am Caine Butler's Grandfather. Employees of the Joe Wheeler Trinity Office are the most rude and abusive customer service personnel I have ever encountered. They make the DMV people look like angels of mercy. When you call, you are treated as a nuisance and dismissed as ignorant. I don't know who is in charge of this office but I would only expect that he/she would be as mean and horrible as the employees they supervise. If I could change power companies, I would do it today.

The people at joe wheeler are awesome. But why use Aspluner they care about no one. Do a sloppy job. Have no respect for people or there property. That makes Joe Wheeler look really bad in the eyes of there customers.
